Great for updating a non-smart TV!
Bought this with nectar points for old non-smart TV. Pretty easy to set up except having to add all the usual catch-up programme passwords which is tedious. Software is much quicker than old Freeview box so very pleased.

Too early to give an accurate review but here goes
We had to buy something as our Humax won't work with the BBC iPlayer from November. This was the best Firestick for us as our TV isn't 4K or higher definition; we have straightforward 'HD'. Setting up wasn't difficult but we needed to concentrate. It works pretty well apart from Alexa which has never taken us to the correct place. It's just easier to type in once than try 4 times with Alexa and still have to type. Maybe we were being too optimistic that we could reach individual programmes. But what is the point otherwise?

Easy to set up.
Plugged into HDMI port on 11 year old panasonic tv. Uses USB port on tv for power (check USB on your tv is powerful enough) with a short connecting wire that came with the stick. We don’t have Alexa, so use the remote (which also controls volume and power on and off on the tv). We use HDMI 3 channel on tv, as 1 and 2 are already in use. Was easy to set up, just followed on screen instructions, then had to sign into apps like iplayer.

The channel guide shows listings from BBC, ITV, and Channel 4, and can be accessed by saying 'Alexa, open TV guide,' or by going to the 'Live' tab from the Fire TV home page and clicking on the guide.
