Great value - does what it says on the box. Bought to burn music CDs and so far has been fine. Easy to operate and quick functioning.

Works well. Very lightweight - but the lack of weight is also why this isn't what I would consider a 'quality' item. It's brittle plastic which would break easily if knocked/dropped. Plug-and-play with my Lenovo R7 laptop, so should be the same for all Windows-based products. Does require a standard USB port, so if your device only has a USB-c port (commonly the type of charging port found on modern Android phones), you'll need an adaptor. Fast read speed on my laptop. Can't comment on the write speed as haven't needed to use that feature as yet (and I only bought this drive to transfer music to CD for my grandfather! There's not much call to write to CD/DVDs these days). My only gripe with this is the build quality, hence 4 stars.

A handy light device
So far, so good. It is light and portable and was relatively easy to connect to my computer. Just be careful when loading/unloading discs - hold the sides and don't press on the top.

Asus rewriter
Bought to replace an old broken unit. Downloaded the software that came with it, but didn't manage to make a cd with it. However, the good old windows media player worked with it first time, so very happy. Had to make a speedy transcription from an old record to play at a funeral for a friend, so was grateful for Argos nearby open on Sunday, and the Asus unit itself.
