About this product
The Habitat Bunk Bed adds extra sleeping space without taking over the bedroom, ideal for siblings or friends staying over. Its chunky frame is sturdy and secure, with a high guard rail on the top bunk for safety. Wide ladder steps make climbing comfortable for little feet, and the ladder fixes on the right side. Each bunk fits a standard single mattress, providing space for two sleepers. Built-in shelving on the frame lets each child keep their alarm clock, books or bedtime bits within reach.
The grey metal and timber design stands up to daily use and meets British and European safety standards. Wall-mounting brackets are included and must be fitted, that's really important for stability when you've got kids climbing up and down. Each bunk supports up to 100kg, so it's suitable for children aged six and over, and adults too. There's 89cm of headroom between the bunks, giving decent space for sitting up. For the top bunk, use a mattress no deeper than 16cm for safety. Self-assembly required with two people recommended, and it comes with a one-year guarantee.

Sturdy and beautiful bunk bed.
I bought this 2 weeks ago and I'm so happy I did. It took some time to fix but that's okay. Got it for my preteen and teenage boys and they love it! It's very sturdy and while fixing noticed that thought and effort have been put into every bit of building this bunk bed to ensure that it's best and strong enough to stand the test of time. I highly recommend.

Sturdy and practical

We bought 2 weeks ago, was fairly straight forward to build with clear instructions. Bed is strong and sturdy. Definitely required two people move once built. Only two negatives, there where no spare parts and one of the camlocks snapped under tension,lucky I had spares other wise bed would of needed to be returned and the stickers supplied to hide the bolts are pointless, they do not stick and are a completely different colour, but I would still recommend the bed

The ladder on the Habitat Ultimate Bunk Bed Frame - White is in a fixed position and cannot be moved to the other side. This means it will always be attached on the right side as shown in the photos.

Sadly, all parts have pre-drilled holes for self assembly so it would not be possible to change the position of the shelving.
