My new best friend!

I’m genuinely thrilled with the Dreame L40 Ultra AE. Setup was straightforward, and once running it quickly mapped the home and confidently navigates around furniture and everyday obstacles. The suction is powerful and consistent, handling fine dust, crumbs, and general household debris with ease on both hard floors and carpets. Edge cleaning is also very effective, with the robot cleaning right up to skirting boards. The mopping function has been a real game changer. The hot water mop washing and self-cleaning base station mean very little hands-on upkeep, and the robot automatically returns to the dock to empty the dust and clean the mop pads before continuing. It feels like the floors are constantly being looked after without me needing to think about it. Battery life easily covers the whole home, and the app offers plenty of customisation, including room-by-room cleaning and adjustable power and mop settings. While there are lots of options at first, it quickly becomes easy to use and fits neatly into a busy routine. Overall this has made life noticeably easier in a busy household. Coming downstairs to clean floors without having had to do anything myself still feels like a luxury. It’s reliable, efficient, and has taken a big job off my plate!

Clever bit of kit!

Clever bit of kit, never have I ever desired a robot in any form but this....I love it! You need to make sure its charged up and then you let the robot map out your room, it doesn't take too long to know where it can and cannot go it even went under the dining room table and chairs! I would use this for a deep clean vacuum or floor wash throughout the house. It detects dirt- I presume through sensors- and vacuums up every spec. Once the job is done it returns itself to the docking station to recharge ready for the next job. The docking station itself looks quite bulky but I found a good space for it near to a plug socket.

Just wow 🤩 incredible machine

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this Dreame has genuinely made daily cleaning way less of a chore and much more fun. From the moment it mapped my home, I could tell this wasn’t your average robot vacuum. Setup was pretty straightforward and the app is great. As you get to know the robot (named mine Ralf) it learns more about each room each time it cleans. Here’s the good stuff: Suction power is strong, it picks up dust and pet hair really well, even on carpet and wood floors. The self-cleaning station is a game changer. It auto empties the dust, washes the mop pads with hot water, and dries them for you which means way less maintenance. If the robot vacuum gets full it goes back and empties the dirt and comes back out to clean. The navigation and mapping are sharp for this price range. It avoids obstacles impressively and I’ve seen it weave around stuff like cables and toys without getting stuck. It can be a bit confused sometimes but only seen this once. I moved the docking station whilst it was in the middle of a clean. The vacuum went to return to the station and it realised the location was different. It went through a process and located the station and docked extremely well. No extendable side brush and the mop performance isn’t as “scrubby” as hand mopping. I think you’ll still need to tackle tough stains yourself. App complexity can be a little overwhelming at first, as there are lots of modes and settings to explore. This robot is a solid performer and excellent for everyday vacuuming + mopping with minimal hands-on time. It’s especially great if you’ve got pets, mixed floor types, or want that self-cleaning dock convenience. A couple of quirks keep it from perfect but overall it’s a great investment for busy homes. Best machine I have used, extremely happy and highly recommend it.

Everything I needed

After 2 weeks of using this is now my favourite ever gadget. From opening the box the set up is really straight forward and quick. Download the app and connect to the robot hoover via wi-fi. Once thats done you do all the controls from the app. Once the robot has explored your floors and done it's map you can then select it to hoover or mop or both in different rooms also change the suction power settings for vacuming. The mopping function works well and the floor dries quickly,also self cleaning the mop pads is a wonderful addition.I have a robot mop from another well known brand and can say this is 10x better. You will still need to deep clean your house yourself but this is great for everyday clean and keep on top of maintenance. Fully recommend this for purchase

Smart and efficient

A couple of weeks in, and I’m really happy with this robot cleaner. It mapped my space accurately and automatically recognized different areas and cleaning settings, which I can easily adjust—for example, having it clean the carpets first or an area more intensely. The mop function works great, and the floors dry quickly afterward. I also love that it dries the mop pads on its own. Overall, very impressed!

Making life easier

After 3 weeks, this is a great purchase at a great price. Living in a bungalow it vacuums and mops with ease and his usually done the whole lot in under an hour. Emptying the base station is so straightforward. Would recommend. Quieter than I thought.
