Vlogging made easy
It is so refreshing to use a camera than just my phone, it's just so unbelievable what a camera can do now a days! The Canon EOS R50 is really nice to hold, it fits in my hands perfectly and just has a good solid feel to it and not flimsy. It is lightweight so isn't going to be a annoying when I go on trips which is ideal for me when carrying so much. The camera has WiFi and Bluetooth built in which makes taking a photo or video of yourself so easy. Not only that but sending the footage and photos to a different device is so easy as well, I love it! It used to put me off using a camera with having leads etc out so this is really refreshing. The camera and video quality are so clear and fresh, I can't wait until the weather gets warmer and I can capture loads more memories out doors. My only wish is that I had this when I visited Japan so I could vlog everything. My brother has already asked to borrow this from me!

Great camera
The Canon R50V is the first proper camera i have used. I had wanted one for ages and this truly is a great camera for beginners. The AF turns your shots in to professional grade photos without any need to go through complicated menus etc. it does have different settings you can use but until i learn more about these i have not used them. The videos are perfect for any want to be influencers, i have had a quick go at these and suddenly my insta reels look far more professional and smooth. The screen with the ability to flip around really makes selfie photos and videos a breeze as you can clearly see what you’re doing. Little disappointed there is no flash built in but photo quality in low light is still brilliant. The red light on the front which blinks when taking photos or videos is really useful especially when doing timed shots as it counts down for everyone to know. Really good camera for beginners and pros alike.

Lightweight, perfect for capturing memories
The camera was very easy to set up and is not overly difficult to use. It has a screen that rotates to enable self recording and is lightweight so would be great for vlogging or content creation. Charges via a USBC cable and transfers photo and videos to your devices with ease.

Contents creators/family vloggers - you need this!
Wow I’m so impressed with this bit of kit! I studied photography at A Level but only really dabbled in decent cameras since then but this one was incredibly easy to set up and the quality of the photos and videos are excellent. A feature I really love that I’ve not seen many others have is the front record button which is perfect for filming vlogs and content, or silly videos with the kids! I can’t wait to use this over the Christmas holidays and record amazing memories. One thing I’d prefer is having the option to have it plugged in to power as you’re using it (on a tripod for example) as to recharge the battery you need to remove it from the camera completely which is a bit of a faff and means you can’t record for long periods without fear of it cutting off. The camera feels luxurious and is very impressive especially for those just starting out with content creation.

Perfect for capturing video content
I’ve been using the Canon EOS R50v with RF-S 14-30mm lens for a few days now and definitely see what a great camera it is. It’s really lightweight and very simple to use - does come with a QR code within the instructions for an advanced user guide too. It’s very much a point and shoot concept but with advanced features, without the more complicated features of a DSLR. It definitely leans to be video dominant, so perfect for Vlogging and content creation, especially with the quality 4k video and the many video shoot options. The autofocus is really precise and stays in focus even through movement. Loved the lense quality, it gives sharp imagery and a wide focal range, which captures your full shot in both video and photos. I really like the Canon camera connect feature, it paired easily with the app on my iPhone and made downloading my videos and photos simple and fast. It is fully touchscreen enabled, but also has a handy quick record button at the front of the camera, as well as your traditional top button. There is no viewfinder, it is all done via the main screen and it’s also here you can adjust your settings like, exposure, contrast etc, as well as add some effects. I really like the R50v for video content and would definitely recommend if that’s the main purpose of your content, but if it’s more still photos you’re looking to take, it doesn’t have loads of features for this, but does still take great shots.

Great, compact and user friendly camera!
The Canon EOS R50 is a great lightweight camera, perfect for sightseeing and carrying around your neck without strain. I took it out for a walk today and its compact size and portability really stood out. It’s very beginner-friendly, with an intuitive touchscreen that makes adjusting settings—like exposure—quick and easy. The ergonomic design makes it comfortable to hold, though users with larger hands (like my husband, who is 1.90m tall) may find the grip a bit small. You can also connect it to your phone, which makes transferring photos and controlling the camera remotely really convenient. It shoots excellent 4K video and has reliable autofocus, making it a strong first camera for new content creators. The main limitation is that it has only one SD card slot.

Love it
I’ve recently started using the Canon EOS R50 V with the RF-S 14–30mm lens kit, and it’s been such a great little camera. It’s lightweight, easy to carry, and the wide-angle lens is perfect for capturing more of the scene without having to step back ideal for family days out when you want to catch everything in one shot. The image quality is sharp and colourful, and the autofocus is quick and reliable, especially with moving kids. The touchscreen is simple to use, even if you’re not a camera expert, and the camera performs well in all sorts of lighting, from bright outdoor trips to indoor play areas. Video quality is also excellent, making it great for recording memories as well as taking photos. The only minor downside is the battery life, so I’d recommend having a spare if you plan to be out all day. Overall, it’s the perfect family-friendly camera! light, easy to use, and produces beautiful photos and videos without any fuss exactly what you want for days out, holidays, or capturing everyday moments and being readily available

Beautifully made, quality camera and lens
This is my first real camera and I am really impressed. I like most people use my phone as a daily camera, but I cannot believe the difference in quality and the functions that this camera provides. This camera is designed to be used for taking excellent photos and videos. I would say it is perfect for doing social media clips and posting online. It has full WiFi capability and works with well with my IPhone, android phones are also compatible. An SD memory card can be used to allow plenty of storage and it can be connected to a computer. For a quality camera it isn’t too heavy to carry and still has a great feel, you can tell it is well made. There are so many functions I have yet to test but I feel that it will handle them with ease. The included lens is easy to attach with red guide lines to allow quick and easy alignment. There is a strap included to prevent you from dropping the camera but a stand is not included. This camera of a high calibre and will help make my videos stand out from the crowd.

Better for videos
I’m really impressed with this camera and lens combo. The R50 V is super light and easy to use, even for someone who isn’t big into photography. The video quality is excellent — sharp, smooth, and the autofocus is honestly brilliant. It locks onto your face quickly and stays focused, even when you’re moving around. The 14–30mm lens is great for travel and vlogging. It’s wide enough to capture scenery or group shots, and the image stabilisation helps keep footage steady when you’re walking. The power zoom is a nice bonus and makes filming feel a lot more professional.
