Sharp cutting blades make it easy to cut edges of lawn & also trim hedges. Good value for money However the only negative is that the two blades are rather stiff to operate

I’m afraid I have returned these for a refund, as they are too stiff for me to use, and the blades don’t move easily. I am elderly, but other garden tools I have recently purchased have been OK. So, disappointing for me.

"If the customer is to place the stem right at the base of the blades and the stem isn’t too thick, then it should easily cut the stem.
It all depends on how big the stem they are cutting is etc."

Being razor sharp they will have no problem cutting grass, as to whether they are the most suitable for cutting the grass you wish to cut, that is your decision. There are more specific tools for cutting lawn edges for example.
