The Spike 20 inch Boys Mountain Bike supports progression and confidence as they develop control and tackle more adventurous outings. Its six-speed Sunrun gearing makes hills more manageable, whilst front and rear V-type brakes offer reliable stopping power. Adjustable features mean it can grow with them for a time, and the steel frame handles regular use.
It's designed for riders aged 8 years and over with a height of 136-145cm, with 20-inch wheels suited to this stage of riding. The six-speed drivetrain uses a twist grip shifter that's simple to operate. Adjustable seat and handlebars allow some room for growth. Front and rear V-type brakes deliver dependable control. The steel frame construction provides durability. Stabilisers can be fitted if needed. Some assembly required.

A bike for kids.
The bike is great. But it is a bit heavier than my expected. Overall, the bike is in good condition. The only problem I got is when they first delivery, the parts are not matching and I have to return for a new one. But Argos really swap it within the second day.

Fantastic value for money
Just built two of these up. They come part built and the instructions are unusualy clear, A4 size and easy to follow. Tools included but I used my own and a bike stand. Very good looking bikes and superb value. The cons are that the gears appear to be a little awkward and the front brakes on one bike were a little tricky to adjust right. The bikes may benefit from a pro service. But at this price point there's little to complain about. The maintenance maual may address these cons and is a great touch.

The supplier has advised the following for the Spike 20 Inch Wheel Size Boys Mountain Bike:
“ Buying a set of stabilisers for bike with rear derailleur you will have specifically ask/look for that as not every stabiliser set on the market is built for that purpose.
You can also get a “bike stabiliser derailleur kit” that allows to fit ordinary stabiliser to bike with rear gears. ”
