About this product
The Habitat Heavy Duty Detachable Bunk provides flexible sleeping space that grows with your family. Made from solid pine and hardwearing wood, it withstands daily use and knocks. Two Habitat Rae mattresses are included, so you're ready to go on arrival. Thick rails and solid slats keep it sturdy. It splits into two single beds when needed, ideal for kids' rooms or rearranging. Both beds have matching ground height for a uniform look, and all fitting holes are plugged for a neat finish.
The top bunk has 36cm safety rails to keep sleepers secure, important for younger ones. It must be attached to a wall for stability using wall-mounting brackets. The ladder is fixed for safe climbing. Each bunk supports up to 100kg, suitable for adults and kids from six years up. The included mattresses have an open coil design with 323 springs for firm support and fibre filling for cushioning. They're foam-free with anti-allergy covers to prevent dust mites and skin irritations. Wooden slats are included, and two people are needed for assembly. A two-year manufacturer's guarantee is included.
The bunk bed comes Habitat Kids Rae Comfort Open Coil Single Mattress. Ideal for growing children, the comfy kids mattress has an open coil design to provide firm support, while fibre filling adds a layer of cushioning. Foam free and chemical treatment free, it has a soft anti-allergy cover to help prevent dust mites, skin irritations and allergies.

Strong and sturdy
The bed is sturdy and strong, the kids are comfortable and love it. The bed looks pretty safe for the little ones. Saved a lot of space in the bedroom, given I live in a rented place this bed doesn't require it to be mounted to the wall which was a big plus point. Only drawback was the bed panels took a very long time to assemble where the nails weren't easy to screw in.

Bunk beds strong and comfortable great price 👍
I just wanted to leave a positive review on a set of beds I got for my two boys,it’s my second bed I’ve had from Argos now which has been made to a very high standard,it’s strong and I’ve never had a issue with the strength of beds I’ve had from Argos especially when my children are sleeping them I do recommend detachable beds from Argos so they can sleep in safety.

Solid and Durable Heavy Duty Bunk Bed.
I purchased the Habitat Heavy Duty Detachable bunk bed a few weeks ago in December and assembled it with my two young boys in just under two hours. The instruction manual was clear and easy to understand. My boys could even recognize the parts and figure out where everything went. The materials feel solid and durable, and the set arrives neatly packed in three boxes. The mattresses are surprisingly comfortable, and once assembled, the bed feels very secure, and as a parent, that gives me real peace of mind. I highly recommend this bunk bed to anyone who is still undecided. You definitely won’t regret it.

High Quality and Easy to Assemble
We were very impressed with the quality of the beds. We have two sons who are now using the bunks and they will absolutely test the quality and longevity over time - so far the bunks have done well. Two people are needed only for adding the top bunk on, otherwise I did it solo. The instructions are detailed and if you have assembled flat pack before, it should be okay. The boxes were much smaller than I expected, so should be easier to store. I would suggest getting an Allen or hex screwdriver set, or one for an impact driver like I used - otherwise build time will be quite lengthy with the included Allen key!
