About this product
The Macadam Metal Folding Chair gives you a practical seat that folds away when you don't need it. It's a modern take on a classic seventies design, that's powder coated steel with a vibrant yellow finish that adds a pop of colour to your dining area or home workspace. The frame's lightweight enough to move between rooms easily, so you can bring out extra seating when guests arrive or tuck one under your desk for focused work. Rubber feet keep it steady on hard floors and protect your carpet from scuffs and marks. It'll hold up to 100kg comfortably, so it's suitable for most adults.
The folding mechanism lets you store it flat against a wall or in a cupboard when it's not in use, really handy in compact homes. The steel frame stands up to regular use and wipes clean with a sponge and warm soapy water after spills. At just 4kg, you can lift it with one hand and move it wherever it's needed. This chair is very comfortable and has a nice glossy black finish. However, there is a warning that the maximum weight allowance is 100 KG. This should be explained more clearly in the product description as it can affect its durability. It should be noted that you shouldn't allow any overweight guests to use the chair as it is a hazard.

Good chair bad colour
Although the actual chair was very sturdy and comfortable, the colour was awful. In the photo it looked a beautiful sunny yellow but when it came it was like a neon yellow.

Pleased with this purchase which is for extra emergency seating.. They fold quite flat to store. The red colour is not a pillar box red but slightly more orange. They are solid and well made, and stand stable. Heavier than l expected but easy to move around. They may be a bit hot to sit on if left outside in the sun! Possibly more comfortable with a seat pad? A good price and l used Nectar points to reduce the price as well.

These are really sturdy, heavy chairs which are comfortable to sit in - the back rest is at a good height and angle. I usually find folding chairs to be a bit flimsy and uncomfortable but these are brilliant. Bought as emergency chairs but rethinking this now! Amazing quality at a cheap price

However, it is not designed to be wall-mounted, and there are no built-in fixtures or brackets for hanging. If wall storage is preferred, it would require custom wall hooks or a rack suitable for its folded dimensions and weight (4.4 kg).

“ We don’t have a seat pad just for macadam, however I can see that all our seat pads are 40X40 which seems to be a standard and macadam is 47 wide and 50 deep. The legs are not that big so a 40X40 seat pad should fit. ”

IT IS NEVER SAFE TO STAND ON A FOLDING CHAIR, as they are NOT SECURE AND CAN EASILY FALL OVER OR BREAK AT THE HINGES, AS THEY ARE NOT DESIGNED TO BE STOOD ON! Stay safe!
