New & Improved? I'd Say Yes!
I was reluctant to buy this calculator for my son for his GCSE'S last year as it was a different (newer) model to that he had used for the rest of his school years having Ng a different button layout and usage too. However,....he was really pleased with it saying it was simpler/more intuitive to use and reflected his learning better too. This newer product remains the same in terms of build quality and tactility and as reliable as ever it would seem from the ever popular and in this case justifiably do, brand - Casio. I wholeheartedly recommend this for GCSE students seeking a scientific calculator for exams especially maths.

From the information we have available, I can confirm this Casio FX-85GTCW Scientific Calculator is the new upgraded version of the Casio fx-85GT X (the UK’s best-selling dual-powered scientific calculator) containing additional features, to include a high definition display and improved menu navigation. Allowed in every UK exam where a calculator can be used. Recommended and approved for Key Stages 3 & 4 (including GCSE, National and Higher, Junior and Leaving).
The large Natural Textbook Display shows mathematical expressions like roots and fractions as they appear in your textbooks which increases comprehension because results are easier to understand.
