Decent for exams.
The calculator has better tolerances and textures than my 991cw. The design has improved significantly. This works well for exams, although it misses out on all the useful features of the 991.

This is the calculator that does the job for a very reasonable amount of money. Some functionality has improved with respect to previous models, although it's true I preferred other things from previous models. Still, great value!!!

From the information we have available, I can confirm this Casio FX-85GTCW Scientific Calculator is the new upgraded version of the Casio fx-85GT X (the UK’s best-selling dual-powered scientific calculator) containing additional features, to include a high definition display and improved menu navigation. Allowed in every UK exam where a calculator can be used. Recommended and approved for Key Stages 3 & 4 (including GCSE, National and Higher, Junior and Leaving).
The large Natural Textbook Display shows mathematical expressions like roots and fractions as they appear in your textbooks which increases comprehension because results are easier to understand.
