Does your child love to play dress up and role play games? If they’ve got some costumes already you can help them finish off their outfit with something from our kids’ fancy dress shoes and accessories. We’ve got wands for wizards, gloves and masks for superheroes and lightsabers for young Jedi.
We’ve got plenty of costumes too. If you’re looking for some inspiration based on literary characters then have a look at our World Book Day costume ideas, where you’ll find plenty of options and advice on bringing characters to life. A Harry Potter costume is a safe choice, and we’ve got one for each of the houses, plus specific costumes for characters like Hermione (complete with wig). Superhero costumes are always a good option for parties and for general play around the house. Kids love stepping into the shoes of their favourite heroes and acting out new adventures where they can save the day.
When it’s time to hit the streets for trick or treat make sure you’ve got something from our Halloween costumes to spook people. Add a couple of make up sets and you can create some ghoulish creations of your own devising too.
Role-play requires props as well as costumes. So, if your child wants to play at being a grownup then why not get them a children’s kitchen and let them cook up dinner for their dolls, or if they’re more of a Bob the Builder type then a children’s workbench with tools can let them play at building and fixing things to their heart’s content.
