It’ll be good once I’ve learned my way round it, I’m glad I bought it early.
Small, light mirror less camera for travel, but oh so complicated to set up. Compared to mirrored, older dslr's, there’s a lot this camera can do, but a combination of complicated controls, hard to follow instruction manuals and buttons that are easy to push when you didn’t mean to, mean there’s a big learning curve before I will be able to use it comfortably. Trying to reset the camera, for example, needed YouTube help. You can only do it in Manual. Instructions didn’t say that

Excellent new camera
I have used the Canon brand in the past and been very pleased with them. I bought this one because it is made in Japan (which aside from Canon seems to be rare from Japanese camera producers now) and had good reviews. So, having used it for a couple of times, I’m very happy with the quality of the camera and photos. It is also really easy to use. This is important to me because I often forget how to use the camera between use, and this makes it really easy. There is no touch screen, which pleases me – I prefer buttons. The screen is really clear, and the viewfinder excellent. The photos I’ve taken so far have really impressed me, and that has been in the challenging lighting of the far north of Britain in autumn! Thank you, Canon, I’m really looking forward to making the most of this new camera!
