Sound machine, watch out for recipe niggles!
I've been using Panasonic breadmakers for 20 years or so and wouldn't want to go anywhere else for a machine. That said, having used my new 2530 for 6 months I still get caught out by recipe errors in the handbook. For example, the Basic White loaf recipe is identical to the Wholewheat - which is never going to work with the latter needing more water. A pity Panasonic haven't proof read it properly.

Not as good as previous model
This was purchased as a like-for-like replacement of a previous model (SD-2501) which had failed after approx. 1500 bread-making cycles. First impressions of the new unit are not good. 1) The miniscule, unlit LCD display is very difficult to read without a torch. 2) The unit is less versatile than the previous model, for example the Italian and sandwich loaf menus are now absent. 3) The recommended recipes in the SD-R2530 booklet call for much higher salt and sugar loads: we all need to consume less sugar and salt, not more ! However, a test loaf using the Basic menu from the old SD-2501 booklet recipe using reduced yeast/sugar/salt worked just fine. I have always recommended Panasonic bread makers to my family and friends and am surprised that the latest product version is not an improvement on the earlier models.

It didn’t go well!
Product arrived few days before the delivery date. Normally be fine but it was a special present for sons 21st so he was there when delivered. Again be fine but the product wasn’t wrapped for delivery. It came in just the product box so he saw what it was & surprise ruined. Plus as wasn’t packaged the product box was very damaged - great for a present! Hope product is fine but as isn’t his birthday yet & not opened I don’t know. Very disappointed.

I love this breadmaker and highly recommend. Would have given 5 stars but this one doesn't make granary bread which is one of our favourites, and there are limited recipes that can be used with the timer to bake overnight. Overall I am very pleased with it

after years of baking my own bread by hand and after being fitted with a heart pacemaker whereby I couldn't do the kneading for 6 weeks to allow the pacemaker procedure to heal so. after reading many reviews on various breadmaking machines I decided on a Panasonic SD-R2530KXC Automatic Breadmaker. All I can say is, what a brilliant machine, no mess, very little cleaning up afterwards, perfect loaf every time. Yes, there is always the hole at the bottom of the loaf where the 'paddle' comes out of the loaf, but that is acceptable to me. It has been one of the best things I have bought, exceeding my expectations.

Excellent product with easy instructions especially gluten free friendly bread, pizza and pasta options. A replacement for our previous Panasonic bread maker which lasted 20 years. Hopefully this will last just as long.

Plenty of dough and no Doh!
Not my first Panasonic Bread Maker, but it felt too risky to change after such previous, familiar reliability. Change of colour and added seed dispenser this time - so all the previous good things are still there (consistently great bread, easy to use, never a disappointment) plus I can go out and let it run for 4 hours with impunity. This brand name remains synonymous with bread makers.

Hello, from the information we have available, this Panasonic SD-R2530KXC Automatic Breadmaker doesn’t use a Paddle, it uses a kneading blade instead. The manual states this can sometimes come out in the bread, so always remove the kneading blade before slicing the bread. Thank you for using Argos Q&A.
