Performs well and looks great in our updated fireplace, researched quite a few online and as we were not able to see it in the flesh so to speak so I bought it from Argos as at least if there were any issues its was easy to send back I ordered it on a Friday afternoon and got the e-mail it will be 5 days delivery however it arrived before lunch the next day so I was well impressed !! it came direct from the manufacturer rather from Argos Very happy with the purchase and would recommend it

Having been to our local fireplace company to look at electric fires the cheapest fire was £1110 not fitted. Someone at work bought an electric fire and suggested I look online and to my surprise we spotted Adam inset stove fire at only £220 with 5* reviews. The fire arrived 2 days after ordering it. It fitted perfect and run the electric wire under the floorboards to the socket. We often just have the background light on at night and only use the fire for a quick burst of heat. So well done Argos for selling great quality electric fires and amazing prices!

I can advise that the supplier does not have a lifespan for the LEDs but these are covered under the 1 year warranty. Also the LEDs are replaceable but these do need to be changed by an electrician as the PCB this is connected to would need to be changed at the same time.

The Adam Oslo 2kW Electric Inset Stove has the following dimensions: Height: 59.3 cm (23.3 inches), Width: 50.7 cm (20 inches), and Depth: 16.9 cm (6.7 inches)
Given your opening is 16 inches by 22 inches, the stove's height and width exceed your opening dimensions, so it would not fit.

It is not be advised to remove the plug to connect a longer cable.
Any alterations can affect the warranty. If the cord is to be replaced it must be done by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

Add a extra length of cable using WAGO Inline splicing connectors and a WAGO junction box for a safe, tidy connection. Make sure the cable you use is the proper rating as the existing cable on the fire.
