Bought this to tackle replacing damaged floor boards.great little saw, 18mm boards are no problem. Compact size makes it easy to manage in tight spaces. Adjustable cutting depth allows removal of sections of existing boards without damaging joists or shallow pipes.

My favourite tool
As a diyer I wasn't confident using the bigger circular saw, this has worked brilliantly for installing my own flooring. I have also used it for trimming 2 cms from my new internal door. Feels secure and the guard isn't in the way. It comes with two blades and an allan key to swap them.

Poor quality
I've never thought much of Black and Decker quality, and they didn't let me down, I only purchased this item because I needed something quick for a small job. I started to cut down a length of metal roofing sheet, only to get about 400mm down it when it packed in, and I quickly returned it for a refund. It will not do what it says on the tin. AVOID if you want a saw to cut 0.75mm metal sheet, it cannot do it.

Perfect for job in hand
This saw was purchased to cut composite decking boards and did the job very well It cut through the boards with ease and the blade did not wander, which is a fault with some other makes I have used in the past. I have had other B&D power tools over the years and have always found them to be up to the job

Easy hand held circular saw
Bought this to deal with plinths and cornices for kitchen units. Wow great little saw and made life so much easier than a jigsaw. Line it up keeping it flat and saws through neatly. Im in my 60’s (female) and a DIYer and wished I had got this earlier rather than using a hand saw.

I’ve only used it on wood but I’d say it can do anything a regular circular saw can do only in smaller sizes.
