Superb results every single time
I could not be happier with the results from this superb machine. I have never had a bad result from it and I have tried nearly all the bread recipes in the book over the last two years although I have no direct experience of the gluten free options. However, all the recipes I have tried have turned out perfectly. My only request would be that when the loaf is ready, the volume of the alarm should be increased as it is quite soft and can easily be missed if you are busy or have the radio on. It's a very small point to make about such a truly superb machine.

Great for sourdough bread making
I couldn’t wait to purchase this bread maker following my search on sourdough bread makers.

Impressive, easy to use machine
so far its proved easy to use having made 2 wholemeal loaves, both of which have come out well. The bread is tasty but a little heavier than we expected, but its all trial and error to find the perfect loaf to suit the individual. Sourdough is our next experiment. The best thing about this machine is its ease of use. Simply weigh the indredients, put them into the basket, add the yeast in the top section, select the appropriate programme and the rest is done for you. Even the starter for sourdough is easy in comparrison to traditional starters. All in all we are impressed

Takes practice
I bought this because we are fed up with palm oil and preservatives in bought bread and can't always get to an independent Bakers. Had a few disasters with sunken tops on the loaves, but seems better if you put the small ingredients in first. The smell is gorgeous and lovely and soft when fresh. (We add 2 tsp olive oil),but only good for toast after a day in the cupboard. Generally pleased

Fabulous machine
Really easy to use, lots of settings. Regular bread and gluten free both come out really nice. The book it comes with has handy recipes to make it easier.

One of the Best Kitchen Purchases I've Made
What a difference having one of these makes! I love waking up to the smell of fresh bread in the morning. On the days when I don't need to make a loaf, I actually miss having that lovely aroma around the flat. I had absolutely no bread-making experience before buying this machine, but every loaf I've made so far has turned out really well. Just follow the recipes and it pretty much does the rest. The only downside is that it does take up a bit of worktop space. That said, it's fairly light, so if space is tight I don't think it'd be a hassle to keep it in a cupboard and take it out when needed. Overall, I'm very happy with it and would definitely recommend it.

Great product
Wife and I bought it as a Christmas present to ourselves. Extremely glad that we went for this model and not a slightly cheaper one with fewer features. Has been great for many types of bread, and always makes a good loaf with very little effort. Time delay, second release, and dough making features are fantastic. Had it 5 months now, expect it will last a lifetime.

Perfect
Now I am older and suffering from arthritis I was finding making my sourdough was getting harder. I gave in and bought this machine. It is an absolute magic maker. I get it to do the harder work to prepare my sourdough then take it out and do my proofing and baking in my usual way. It works a treat. But WOW I it turns out basic white ,wholemeal and other loaves to perfection. I’ve also made cakes in it. Why did I leave it till my 70’s to purchase??? Would highly recommend

Breadmaker
I have now used my Panasonic breadmaker twice and it is now baking my third loaf as I write this review. The results have been excellent. The bread is very tasty and cuts well. Overall, I am very pleased with the breadmaker and will be trying other recipes soon. Thank you.

Hi Lori
I am sorry the vegan gluten free bread is not included in the recipes that the bread maker can make so there is no information whether it's going to be good or not.
I hope this helps

Hello Geena,
I can advise the following for the Panasonic SD-YR2540HXC Fully Automatic Breadmaker - Gunmetal:
Inner Pan
Aluminium, Non Stick Fluorine coating
Thanks for using Q & A.
It is perfectly possible to add the yeast directly in with the ingredients - add first, before the flour - but the manufacturer recommends using the dispenser.
Bread mixes, containing all ingredients, work extremely well.
Experiment with both?
Hi Tilly,
Thanks for your query about the Panasonic SD-YR2540HXC Fully Automatic Breadmaker – Gunmetal.
The automatic yeast dispenser is there as it's designed to add the yeast automatically as the correct point in the programme to ensure the best results. For some programmes on it, you may not get successful results unless you did use it.
It is possible to use a bread mix with your yeast in already though by just adding water and then pressing the relevant button to start the required programme. The appliance does come with a little measuring spoon for the smaller ingredients, e.g. yeast, salt, sugar, etc.
Thanks for using Q&A.
The paddle comes out very easy after the pan has been rinsed with water
Hey Quesera,
I can advise that the bread pan and kneading blade are coated with a non-stick finish to avoid stains and to make it easier when removing bread.
Thanks for using Q&A.
