The best of the best
You may wonder why this is more expensive than the others? Don’t - just accept that every now & again, you really DO get what you pay for. Normally you buy a bread maker for 1/2 this price, and it makes you bread - not too bad but weeks later, the novelty wears off and you’re back to Mothers pride before you know it - usually because - no matter how much you lie to yourself, the flaws of the machines at the cheaper end, eventually become tiresome. This beauty however HAS no flaws. No huge hole where the dough hook was, no hassle cleaning, no hard outside, raw inside - as long as you weigh the basic ingredients, it’s PERFECT every single time (The pre-packed ingredient sachets are rubbish) - it’s not the same. So providing you stick to using the few raw ingredients and weighing them, you’ll never buy a loaf again. It takes 3 min to load, and we use the 4hr setting - leave cool and it’s perfection

Deliciously worth every penny
Toyed with the idea of buying a bread maker for quite a long time & so glad I decided to take the plunge. From the very first attempt the results were delicious. There’s also an excellent Facebook group full of advice and recipes can’t see me ever going back to supermarket bread. it’s simplicity itself just follow the instructions in the recipe book measure the ingredients carefully and add to the machine in the order set out switch it on walk away and four hours later perfect home-made loaf or set it on the timer and wake up to the lovely smell of fresh baked bread Highly recommend and wish I bought my bread maker years ago

It is perfectly possible to add the yeast directly in with the ingredients - add first, before the flour - but the manufacturer recommends using the dispenser.
Bread mixes, containing all ingredients, work extremely well.
Experiment with both?
Hi Tilly,
Thanks for your query about the Panasonic SD-YR2540HXC Fully Automatic Breadmaker – Gunmetal.
The automatic yeast dispenser is there as it's designed to add the yeast automatically as the correct point in the programme to ensure the best results. For some programmes on it, you may not get successful results unless you did use it.
It is possible to use a bread mix with your yeast in already though by just adding water and then pressing the relevant button to start the required programme. The appliance does come with a little measuring spoon for the smaller ingredients, e.g. yeast, salt, sugar, etc.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hey Quesera,
I can advise that the bread pan and kneading blade are coated with a non-stick finish to avoid stains and to make it easier when removing bread.
Thanks for using Q&A.
