Does what it says on the bucket
Never used this wood care product before but it was very competitive in price to other suppliers. With a new shed and fencing I needed a large amount of preservative. This covered in one coat as stated on bucket, very pleased with the outcome. With 9 litres to use I even painted my old fencing and it covered that very well. Overall, I would buy this again. Oh, you can wash brushes in warm soapy water as I did.

After contacting our suppliers they have advised for the Johnstone's Shed & Fence Matt Paint 9L - Forest Green.
The shed and fence is water-based wood treatment , therefore can be painted indoors and outdoors.
The product doesnt give an opaque solid finish , more a fence treatment

Yes, preparing your fence before painting with Johnstone's Shed & Fence Matt Paint 5L - Forest Green is essential for the best results.
Start by ensuring all timber must be clean, dry and free from varnish or paint. If the timber is affected by mould, lichen or algae treat with a suitable Fungicidal Wash as directed. Leave for 24 hours and then scrub down with clean water and leave to dry. Retreat with Fungicidal Wash and leave to dry. Use gloves whilst applying to avoid staining hands.

"This product is formulated for brush application rather than spray application. We only advise brush application due to the paint having to be applied liberally and worked into the open pores of the fence panels."

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Johnstone's One Coat Shed & Fence - Forest Green:
All water-based paint products can spoil if exposed to air or extreme temperatures. For storage, ensure the temperature is not below 5°C or above 25°C and avoid high humidity. The lids once opened must be fastened tightly to prevent any air from entering the paint.

The product doesn't carry the durability's for foot traffic.

As with any coating ensure the material has been allowed to dry fully before reintroducing pets of any kind.
