It smelled quite a bit for the first few uses but apparently that's normal. It toasts a bit unevenly but I can live with it. It's a bit more bulky compared to my previous toaster but it's reasonably nice looking.

Poor value and performance
I bought this on the basis of it being a reliable brand. But it's very basic and only browns the toast on one side. Rather flimsy elements. Russell Hobbs should do better for the price. Wouldn't recommend and VERY disappointing for such a well known kitchen appliance maker. What are they thinking of putting such a poor product into the market.

Not impressed
This item was purchased and delivered on the same day. The guy who delivered it dropped the parcel as he was passing it to me. It came wrapped and boxed properly but the light to show it was in operation didn't come on. It has a dial for temperature control, no buttons or digital display. I wouldn't recommend this product. I'm going to buy a new toaster from a different retailer. I want one similar to my old one.

Have just wasted my time buying this toaster, as the dimensions of the slots given in Q and A were for a completely different model. This one has slots that are only 140mm in length. Buying a toaster should not be difficult. Why is it so difficult to get this basic information?
Just got this item home. The 26550 3157259 is 170cm x 35cm. We ordered it specifically for this reason because the first one we ordered was too small.
