Great retro style.
I bought this toaster to match my new kettle. I love the retro style of it. I eat toast every day, so Ive used it three times now. It browns my bread really quickly, and pretty evenly too. Can't go wrong with Russell Hobbs, a very reliable brand

Faster toaster
Browning, heating, before i bought the toaster I searched Google, 'fast toaster' it isnt any faster than the old toaster? Its ok, nothing better or worse than other toaster I've had. The toaster isn't disappointing (its average) but I am, i thought it would be 'faster'

Toasts thick bread, crumpets and regular sliced loaf perfectly, bread lay on its side. Slots are 16 cm long. Just what we were looking for.

Shame about the sticker - had to return the toaste
I bought this as I liked the brushed stainless steel finish - but when unpacking, there was a quite large 'promotional' sticker in the shape of a slice of toast stuck to the front of the toaster - I peeled it off, but it left a 'shadow' of the sticker behind - tried gently cleaning but residue still there. So it wasn't like a new toaster -the image left behind was very obvious. So I returned the toaster (and matching kettle as I wanted a pair of items) to Argos who gave me a refund. Daft idea to put a sticker on brushed stainless!!

Have just wasted my time buying this toaster, as the dimensions of the slots given in Q and A were for a completely different model. This one has slots that are only 140mm in length. Buying a toaster should not be difficult. Why is it so difficult to get this basic information?
Just got this item home. The 26550 3157259 is 170cm x 35cm. We ordered it specifically for this reason because the first one we ordered was too small.
