The Bissell Featherweight is a proper lightweight option if you want something quick and easy for everyday messes. At just over 2kg, it's easy to carry around the house and up the stairs. It's corded, so you've got consistent power without worrying about battery life, and the 5m cord gives you plenty of reach without constantly unplugging. The 0.5l dustbin is a decent size for quick clean-ups, and it's bagless, so you just empty it when it's full.

Brilliant vacuum!
This vacuum is really great! Easy to empty, easy to assemble, easy to turn on, excellent suction and nice design. The cord is a good length too. I have yet to use it as a hand vacuum or the attachment that it comes with to use for for corners. The only problem I've had with it is the suction is too strong on my hardwood floors that aren't glued down properly. Another thing is the unit is a bit too bulky for me to be able to clean underneath my bed but those are my only qualms :)

I bought this item based on price, but also brand, knowing that Bissel is a longstanding trusted name for floor cleaners. My upright vacuum is broken and I didn't want to pay over a hundred for another one. So when I saw this item on the Internet and googled reviews, I decided it would be suitable for my needs. I have mostly hard flooring and some rugs in some rooms. The cleaner is lightweight, easy to put together, excellent suction, bagless and easy to empty. It is less noisy than my vacuum was. I have washed the filter today which was an easy process, the lead is a good lenth for a room. It has a 2 year manufacturer guarantee. This cleaner picks up so much better than my last vacuum, dust , dog hair, normal hair and bits. Using on my rugs I pull it backwards for ease but amazing pickup Its not got a robust handle so mindful manoeuvres needed, but I am very happy with this item so far. I.would recommend

Very Good easier to use on hard floors
It is nice and lightweight . When you're using it on a carpet you need to pull it back towards you as the suction is so good you can't push it forward but perfect on hard floor's . The filtration is good and it's not to noise . The cable reach wasn't to bad

Outstanding
For such a light small vacuum its suction is outstanding ! I didn’t realise there’s so much dust on my carpeting. I vacuum everyday and a lot comes out! The filter has to be clean after 1-2 uses. The cables a bit short but for a small area it’s perfect.

The handheld unit separates from the floor base by pulling straight off, there is no release pedal or button on the floor head.
If it won’t budge, try gently rocking it forward and backward a few millimetres while pulling up, this helps release the internal clip.
