The Birlea Phoenix Ottoman Bed provides storage and sleeping space in one smart package, ideal for smaller bedrooms where space counts. The sprung slatted base adjusts to pressure points, providing natural bounce and comfort throughout the night. It has a solid rubberwood frame built to last, with a stone grey finish that suits most bedroom styles. The end-lift ottoman design reveals generous storage underneath, ideal for bedding, pillows or seasonal clothes. Gas pistons make lifting the base easy and controlled, so you won't strain when accessing stored items.
The wooden slats provide firm, long-lasting support for your mattress and help with airflow to keep things fresh. The headboard's included and made from rubberwood to match the frame. Storage capacity is generous at nearly 988 litres, enough to clear clutter and keep your bedroom tidy. The frame holds a maximum user weight of 220 kilogrammes. Quality control needs to be better
Received this last week, after unboxing all parts and starting to build we found both long side pieces were damaged on the corner, we were too far into building to stop and take apart and pack it back up and we needed to use the bed so we had to carry on and the damaged corner are covered with the duvet. Not easy to put together and some parts are different to instructions and different to video. After working it out ourselves we managed to put the bed together. Bed looks great but disappointed with quality. Wish I’d checked all pieces before starting the build, I would advise you do this if you purchase this bed.

Good practical and pretty bed.
Really comfortable and sturdy bed. A little tricky to put together and the ottoman mechanism is a little stiff but sure that will ease with time. Good amount of storage space.

Bought this bed couple of weeks ago. Nice strong bed the only thing I would say is you got to be good with DIYs to get this fixed or at least you should know who can do this for you. I had two of my friends who helped me with this and it took us just over 3 hours to fix it.

Nice bed
Nice looking bed and good storage but the size of the king size frame is much bigger than a king size mattress leaving a sizeable gap all the way around the bed. Particularly at the bottom - so big you can’t on the edge of the bed. Took around 4 hours to assemble.

Good bed, Painful corners and even more painful...
instructions. My best advice for you is if you want to build this bed, do so without ever looking at the instructions provided. They led me down rabbit holes and dead ends until I finally braved the unknown and conquered the task despite it looking hopeless at times. It is worth mentioning once again too - that the corners of this bed are VERY painful to bang your shin on - but our space is limited so it might be why.

Poor quality
brought 3 weeks ago and the sides have distorted and every time you lift for storage it all goes out of line. It creaks with the slight movement. Very unhappy with the build quality

I buy this bed a months ago and I fix it all by myself, lovely bed and have lots of space to put on the stuff under. I was sceptic for the colour if will come same as show in the picture but I was so happy when I see the colour is exactly the same.

Good communication and fine quality bed
Delivery and communication was seamless. Overall build quality was fine, but the bed creaks a bit. Slats and the plastic bits used to attach them seem to be of poor quality and cheap. Also a lots of bits and pieces to assemble.

A lot of parts and pieces so not for the faint hearted flatpacker! But came together reasonably well. Was worried hydrology were stuck as so stiff to begin with but loosening off nicely with a few goes.

Thanks for your response so just to be clear by outside do you mean the flat edge should face the wall ie the back of the bed and for the bottom the flat edge should be towards the bottom of the mattress or the other side? Thanks

For the Birlea Phoenix Ottoman Kingsize Wooden Bed Frame, the top bar pieces with the wood effect should be installed with the flat edge facing the outside. The arrow on the underside of the bar typically indicates the direction the piece should face, so aligning the arrow correctly should help ensure proper assembly.

The overall maximum user weight for the Birlea Phoenix Kingsize Ottoman Wooden Bed Frame, White is 220kg. This weight would be overall so if 2 people were using the bed each person could weigh a maximum of 110kg.
