As described but poor instructions
Overall happy with the purchase, the quality’s as expected and appears solid. Disappointed with the quality and accuracy of instructions and had to use the additional videos available for several steps. Took around 4 hours for 2 people to build due to the instructions issue and need to constantly double check we were using the right parts! Ottoman mechanism not as robust as our last bed but we only need for seasonal storage - wouldn’t recommend if you plan on accessing the storage area daily/weekly.

Fabulous bed
Great quality and easy to put together with two people. Easy to use when lifting up but at first it feels stuck up but it’s just the first couple of weeks times lifting the bed up. Make sure you are central at the end of the bed and push down firmly. You get used to it and it’s great.

Realy sturdy and beautiful
We really like the look and feel of the bed. Very sturdy and simple lines. Makes our bedroom look much better (we had a divan before) Only three things I think you should know before buying this (all three we didn't mind) 1) The storage space under it has no bottom, so you are basically placing stuff on the floor of your bedroom and covering it up with the bed 2) It is heavy, so not easy to move around if you need to, but also not impossible and part of why it feels sturdy 3) And yes, like everyone is saying, the instructions are not the best, though I managed to build it all by my self (and I am a 1.60 meter short woman) in a few hours, except for the almost last bit, when attaching the metal frame to the wooden frame, where you do need someone else helping. Between the paper instructions (which are hiding inside one of the 4 boxes) and the youtube video you are basically covered. The only two things I did find really missing in both sets of instructions were - A) They don't motion the fact you need to bolt the hydraulic arm to the metal frame. However, you do have the bolts supplied and they are not mentioned in any other section so you can figure that out yourself. B) The little mattress stoppers that attach to the head of the metal frame are different from the ones in the paper notes and the video, but again, a bit of common sense and you can figure out the right direction for them (it is also easy to change if you do get this bit wrong)

Lovely bed
I ordered the bed along with the mattress, which turned up within a week of ordering. However the bed was given a delivery within 14 days. This was not the case and due to lack of correspondence I had to contact Argos- who were amazing! To chase. The bed was delivered 4 days later. Upon delivery 2 out the 4 boxes were damaged. Luckily no damage to the bed, which was amazing considering the damage to the boxes. The instructions aren’t the easiest to follow, however, there is a YouTube video to help too. Other reviews stated it took 2 hours to put up, took us at least 4 hours with 2 adults putting it together. Yes we had one mishap putting the metal frame part together but that was our only mistake. We have had problems with the hydraulic parts, couldn’t get the bed to close, for now we have removed those parts to re-investigate next weekend. After 4 hours we had lost the Will to continue. We ordered the small double in grey, it’s a beautiful bed. It’s made well and feels very sturdy, it’s a bit like a maccarno set there are a lot of nuts and bolts, for me this makes it a very sturdy bed and strong. I’m disappointed with the finish of the colour, it’s a beautifully grey, however, on the headboard there are parts which aren’t finished off properly and can see white paint if you look carefully. You also need a lot of space to build the bed.
