TZ300 - good travel camera
Pocket-sized body, combining a massive zoom range (x15) with crisp 4k video and smooth slow-motion effects. Great for reaching distant scenes where your mobile phone struggles. Reasonable macro (3cm minimum working distance) and bokeh if you shot portraits as well. Great optical stabiliser and ok with focusing (but not as good as Sony). Not a fast lens (struggles a bit in low light scenes) and the lack of a viewfinder is a bit of a letdown. Overall, good value for the money if you just want a pocketable travel camera to complement your mobile phone.

Good supplement to a smartphone for travel
Bought last month as a travel camera for backpacking . Has proven useful as an adjunct to my iPhone 16pro. I particularly like the . zoom reach and monochrome modes . Very portable size . Image sharpness better than phone . Downsides are hit and miss HDR modes v phone and low light performance + slow autofocus versus my dslr. And a viewfinder would have been very useful

Almost a perfect camera
Almost a perfect camera for my needs, pocketable with a good zoom, fast autofocus and decent lowlight performance for everyday use. The only criticism I have is an EVF (there was one on the previous model) or articulated screen would have been nice for situations where light is creating glare on the screen.

Nice little camera
Had the camera a couple of weeks and really happy with it so far. The quality of the pictures seems good and the camera is relatively easy to use although I've not fully explored all the functionality yet

Lovely little camera
I bought this just over a month ago for a holiday to Norway in May. I have a LUMIX FZ82 but needed something more compact and lighter. Overall I am very pleased with the ease of use and comfort of using it. It’s small enough to put in a pocket so no need for a camera bag. I’ve not had the opportunity to explore all the features yet but fully intend to in the coming weeks and months. I can see this replacing my FZ82 for the majority of phot situations - the exception being wildlife photography where the longer zoom is excellent. Image quality has been excellent at all magnifications and light conditions I’ve encountered so far. My one very minor niggle is that I take rather a lot of accidental photographs when touching the rear screen by mistake (easy to do) I’m sure I can switch that feature off but haven’t found it yet. Overall very pleased with the purchase.

Very pleased with my upgrade
I always buy the Panasonic Lumix Cameras for my travels and my new TZ300 has given me even clearer action photos when taking photos of animals and moving scenery. The camera is so convenient to carry and so easy to action quickly when a photo opportunity arises. Thank you Panasonic 😊
