Works out the box
Switched on and the correct time and date appeared. Switched to menu in order to change it to Am/pm from 24 hour. Keeps the setting over a power interruption. Ideal Ideal

Good features
I bought it for my mum who has Alzheimer's. I set it all up for her, which was easy. She can now clearly see what the day and time is. I have also set up verbal reminders for her medication and appointments, which is working really well.

Expensive, but helpful for Independent Living
This is a great clock for anyone on medication - or to help people who need support for independent living. We used a 16 Gigabyte memory stick to make more personalised reminders. Initially we had difficulty getting this to load up onto the screen until my son followed the instructions and changed the size of the resolution and copied it to a .jpeg file. He managed this himself, although he doesn't consider himself that good with computers. There's always someone who would know how to do this, so just ask for help if you have problems. It was ridiculously expensive, which I don't think is fair, because so many vulnerable people out there could benefit enormously with this clock. Fortunately, we had nectar points which helped a lot with the cost. Another reviewer said people with disabilities don't have to pay VAT. I don't know how much you'd save or how you'd go about it. It would help to have that information displayed clearly on the box. It's a great reminder clock, which comes with built in reminders and displays the day, date and time clearly. Turn the sound down, or up via the buttons on the back.

Very clear display
Bought for elderly mother who was falling asleep and missing lunch etc. Clear display is a good reference point for her and the reminders are useful without being intrusive. Easy for me to set up though I've only used the preset options so far.

Excellent product!
Bought this for my Mum, who unfortunately has Dementia! It's been fantastic so far. You can set timed reminders for meditation, have a glass of water, time for lunch etc, etc. My Mum finds it extremely helpful for day to day reminders. Would highly recommend! It's a bit on the experience side but well worth the money!.

Ideal for the elderly
Very happy with this. Lots of preset notifications but can add bespoke ones too. The only improvement I would like is a bigger difference between the hour and minute hands to see the analogue display easier.
