This satin paint with quick dry formula gives brilliant white coverage on interior wood and metal surfaces. You're looking at a versatile finish for skirting boards, radiators, doors and staircases. The water based formula keeps odours low while you work. It dries in just 1 to 2 hours so you can move on quickly. The non-yellowing finish stays looking fresh for longer. Just prime your surfaces with quick dry primer undercoat first.

I bought it because it said durable and low odour. I haven't found it durable as it is easily scraped off so no good for areas where it could be knocked.

Water based fast drying Satin White paint
First time of using this water based Satin White paint. Very pleased with the finish. The Satin White non gloss finish conceals minor imperfections snd brush marks. It is very fast to dry so working fast is essential else you can spoil finish over brushing drying paint. On larger surfaces especially flush doors a roller is best. I used a mini roller 4inch which was perfect and very quick. Good opacity and coverage was noted. I like this paint eill use sgain. Fast drying and brushes wash out in water easily.

Johnson’s paint
Johnson’s paint is probably one of the best paints I’ve ever used. It’s got great coverage and the colour brightness last for ages. I always prefer this paint to anything else.

No, this one is interior only. But you can get this paint for exterior use. The tin is green on the front & it says exterior on the tin.

This satin paint is self-undercoating so can be applied directly to previously painted surfaces without the need for a second product.
The supplier advises the following during preparation: "All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from grease. Remove any loose or flaking paint. Rub down sound glossy surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly to provide a key. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Prime bare surfaces with an appropriate Johnstone’s primer. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead".

It depends what colour the cupboards are to start with, the satin paint isn’t particularly thick and I had to use two coats of my woodwork.
