Great scales
I bought this a few weeks ago to replace my old scales that no longer worked. Nice slim design. Very accurate readings and stable to set a bowl on top. You can zero the scales so you can add additional ingredients without using separate bowls which helps with the washing up. You can also measure liquids

Issue with zeroing
I returned this because when using the zero feature it kept defaulting to 2 (mg or ml) rather than zero. I’ve had two scales from Salter which lasted me years, and have never had this problem before.

Yes, I think so. I believe I had long service from these scales some years ago and relied on placing my pot on the scales, taring to 0, and then measuring out what I wanted from the pot as i emptied it. When it failed, I replaced it with the cheaper Salter scales and was disappointed that the cheaper scales just showed dashes when below zero - I have to do arithmetic!

Simply place your bowl on the scale and press the Tare (Zero) button to set the display to zero. Then, add your first ingredient and note the weight.
