Really good features
I bought this product last week. What a great security camera good quality images crisp sound and tracking. Detection is really good too. Night vision is excellent. It is very easy to set up and use.

This piece of kit is absolutely invaluable if anyone is interested in making their home more secure. It took only a couple of minutes to set up which makes this camera even more impressive. All for 20 quid?! Worth it at double the price I’d say.

Great camera. Connecting to the app was dead easy. Can use to cover the outside during daytime and just turn around for inside at night. Auto panning is useful for when we have delivery men tracking through our garden.

I BOUGHT THIS LAST WEEK TO HELP MONITOR MY CAT WHO IS 16 AND WANTED TO CHECK SHE WAS OK. IT TRACKS HER AROUND THE HOUSE AND HAS GOOD DETECTION AND FOLLOWS HER WHENEVER SHE PASSES AND HAS REASSURED ME SHE IS OK.

The supplier has advised for the Tapo TC71 2K Pan/Tilt Wi-Fi Home Security Camera: TC71 supports two storage options: local recording via compatible microSD card or cloud recording with an active Tapo Care subscription.
Core camera features do not require any subscription. You can access live view, two-way audio and local storage by installing a separately purchased microSD card (max 512GB). Please check compatible SD card specifications here: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/3048/...
Only premium functions need Tapo Care subscription:
- Cloud storage: Save recorded footage on cloud server.
- AI alert notifications with snapshots: Receive app alerts attached with snapshots for human detection and other AI events.
Basic event push notifications are free without subscription. In short, TC71 works fully for daily usage without subscription, while Tapo Care unlocks cloud storage and advanced AI snapshot alerts.
