About this product
Trimming branches or cutting through metal pipes? The McGregor PSR8501 is an 850W corded reciprocating saw for demolition tasks. It's powerful enough to cut wood up to 160mm and metal up to 8mm. Variable speed control adjusts to different materials for cleaner cuts. You'll swap blades without tools using the quick-change system. The rotating rear handle adapts to awkward angles for better reach. An LED light illuminates your work area in darker spaces. The lock-on switch keeps the saw running during longer cuts.
The adjustable pivot foot plate stabilises the saw for better control. You'll work comfortably with the rubber grip that reduces vibration. It's suitable for left-handed users with its adaptable handle design. The 28mm stroke delivers 2800 strokes per minute for efficient cutting. A 2m cable gives you workspace coverage without extension leads. This corded tool means consistent power for demanding jobs. The saw includes a wood cutting blade to get you started.

perfect
so happy with this saw, I have a few trees in my garden that are very fast growing, it is just what I needed to make my life much easier in keeping them under control, sliced through branches with ease

Exactly what I needed
I bought this on offer to cut furniture to fit in the car. Did the job well and made the task easier. Handy to have for DIY projects. Vibrations can be strong on hands but was to be expected based on other reviews

Would definitely recommend.
Love this saw, so easy to use. The blade was easy to fit so I know it will be easy to change, it reached the roots of a shrub I'd been trying to remove for 2 days and only took 5 minutes. The saw was very stable and hardly any vibration. I would definitely recommend this saw.

Great product
Packs so much power, it destroyed some sofas, beds and wardrobes which I flung in the car and took to tip as moving house, saving me disposal costs. It's not for cutting down tree trunks though! Amazing product and at a cheap price.

Great value garden tool
Great purchase. Slices through tree branches and metal posts like a knife through butter

Respectable power for the best available price.
Only purchased for one project but will keep for the future as it's so good. Really easy to work, the slot for the blade is nice and simple and apparently universal for other blades too. Feels solid and robust to hold/use, very powerful, although this is dependant on what you're using it on. We had to cut a thick huge door in half. Despite it being a saw, it can be precise to the mm if you take it slow. With each stroke it can bounce around alot so be careful, it's a power tool which requires someone with a strong grip/hold to use it safely. No negatives noted, happy with the purchase and would recommend for home projects (can't comment on trade use).
