Major problem filter holder gets stuck in the jug
the inner part that holds the filter is stuck and I can't remove it from the jug. I might have to soak in vinegar when I replace the filter next. However I am not amused as this happened to me with my first purchase of the Brita Style jug and the plastic broke when I tried to remove this same part which holds the filter.

Reduces the amount of 'scale' in our kettle
Like all of our previous filter jugs it helps to reduce the amount of scale in our kettle as we live in a hard water area. The only 'downside' is the increase in filter prices.

Good for everyday use, but not perfect
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The BRITA Style Essential Jug works fine and the water does taste better, but it’s not perfect. The filtering is a bit slow at times, and the jug feels slightly flimsy. It’s good for everyday use, just not exceptional.

Crisp clear water
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It does what it says on the box, gives you a clear crisp water. Makes water refreshing. What I've found it helps with is using it make a good cuppa, hate the layer hard water leaves in tea and this solves that issue. Just about fits on the middle shelf in the fridge so can always have it cold and ready when needed

Can't fault it - great tasting water
3 months in, I'm really enjoying my Brita Water filter particularly with the news headlines talking about forever chemicals in drinking water in the Uk, living in north Essex where water hardness is off the charts, this filter is really making a big difference to my appliances.

Filtered water taste great from this jug

A brilliant hydration essential
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product was really good functionally, the water tasted clean and refreshing. It was perfect for the fridge door which meant water could be served cool without having to make and add ice to it. It was really easy to fill though an opening on the top and a good sized handle gave you lots to grip onto when using/refilling. The traffic light warning for the filter was brilliant, so quick and simple to check. I did notice the filter didn't last as long before needing changing as our previous jug, but the water was so nice that it was probably due to being used a whole lot more than our old one. It was really easy to disassemble, clean and to change the filter. The filtered water had no unusual odor and the jug didn't develop a fish tank smell as some previous products used have. I'll be continuing to use this in place of my previous one and would recommend it to others.

Great water filter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been so pleased with this water filter and jug. The jut itself is easy to fill-flap on lid. It's also comfortable to hold good-sized handle and pours nicely good flow without drips running down the sides. Filling you can only really fill half so that it has space to filter through. It can then be topped up. The filer was easy to fit, and the indicator light was just a twist to put on and didn't interfere with anything. Jug fits nicely in the door of the fridge, which is a bonus. The water from this tastes nice it helps. we are a soft water area anyway, but it is definitely a noticed improvement and encourages us all to drunk more water. Indicator light worked as intended and alerted just after 4 weeks that filer needed changed.

Great for hard water areas
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in a hard water area so using a brita water filter has really helped to make my tap water taste better! It's quick to filter through the filter and really does make a big difference. The water filter jug is really easy to clean and doesn't take up much space when kept in the fridge. The capacity of the jug is great and we can get quite a few glasses out of it before it needs refilling.
