Yes you can buy a phone here in UK, but with major network restrictions. You can physically bring a UK-purchased Samsung Galaxy A17 5G to the United States and use a US SIM card, but its daily performance will heavily depend on which American carrier you choose. So as we suggest, it is better to purchase a device from there so there will be no restrictions in using carrier network.

Yes, as long as you insert a UK SIM card and make a phone call of at least 5 minutes in length while in the UK, the region lock will be removed from the A17 and you will be able to use it abroad. Please note that software updates may be delayed while in the USA as they are distributed in collaboration with UK Network providers. You also may not be able to receive the same level of warranty support in the USA, should you require it. Hope this helps, James!
