Beautiful Design
I like the size, design and the fingerprint button placement. The downside of having all the exterior buttons on the same side of the phone is that it gets fiddly whe you are trying to take a screenshot, I was also disappointed that the phone did not have a screen recording capability. This phone was a gift for my birthday, I am very fond of samsung, my previous phone was a Galaxy s9, which is a great phone all round. I personally prefer the Galaxy S series' over the A series'. But this A17 5g is really good for it's price, a definite value for money, the A17 has a bit of lag occasionally whe you are flipping through apps, but that doesn't put me off it. I also love how easy it is to switch from one samsung phone to another it was effortless.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the SIM Free Samsung Galaxy A17 5G 128GB AI Mobile Phone - Black: Please be advised that deleted messages along with other specific files have to be frequently backed up via the Samsung Cloud while photo and video files have to backed regularly through the Google Drive to ensure that those can be retrieved before automatic deletion. Other options that our customer may consider in retrieving deleted messages are through the 'Trash' or 'Archives' and Smart Switch.

You are able to use a 4G SIM in this handset, however, it will not provide the 5G capabilities.
If want to benefit from 5G, you can go to your network provider & they should be able to replace your SIM card with a 5G version allowing you to keep the same phone number, whether it's a prepay or monthly plan SIM.
5G providers faster data speeds, 4G has better coverage (depending on your provider coverage).
