The Panasonic Lumix DC-TZ99 is a pocket-sized travel zoom camera that delivers genuinely impressive capability in a compact form. Built around a 20.3-megapixel MOS sensor and a LEICA DC zoom lens spanning wide 24mm to telephoto 720mm, it handles everything from sweeping landscapes to distant subjects with ease. The 30x optical zoom gives you true magnification without digital tricks, whilst 5-axis image stabilisation keeps shots sharp even when you're fully zoomed in or shooting handheld in fading light.
Weighing 322g, this compact camera slips easily into a bag without weighing you down on trips. It shoots 4K video with sound for high-quality footage, and the 3-inch touchscreen makes adjusting settings straightforward. Amazing Quality Compact Camera for everyday use.
I have really enjoyed getting back into having a camera, after years of using my phone. This surpasses anything taken using my iPhone. Cannot believe the zoom, the feel and weight of the camera, all feels like a quality product. It’s very easy to use in Intelligent Auto mode (great for me as a beginner) yet has many features that I will develop a skill set to utilise and maximise the features that this camera has. I have just taken some great shots whilst having the opportunity to attend the tennis at Wimbledon.

I expected this to be high quality but this is another level. Seriously well built and finished with a nice retro look and feel but with new tech internals. The zoom is fantastic, tge images I have taken so far are brilliant. Really enjoying it.

Good camera for frequent use
I like this camera. The DC-TZ99 is similar to another Lumix I had before, and is easy and quick to use in Intelligent Auto mode. It's usable with just one hand, which is very convenient, and has enough weight to feel firm in my hand, and I find that much better and quicker than using a phone as a camera. Recently I have taken a lot of photos in very bright conditions, when it does at the moment seem rather to overemphasize the highlights. These can be adjusted later so it's not a great issue, but hopefully I can work out how compensate within the camera's own settings. On maximum zoom it's almost unbelievable how much you can magnify an object, but if the object is moving unpredictably, like a flying bird, it's rather difficult to track it. Compared with another Lumix I had before, without such a powerful zoom faciliity, which generally gave spot-on colour rendition from the start, with no need for later adjustment, I think there's a trade-off between zoom capability and picture quality, but obviously you can't have everything altogether without spending a lot more than I did. There are plenty of settings on this camera that, like with my old one, I will probably never get to use or perhaps even understand, but as long as that doesn't cause me a problem I shall be happy.

This is using a USB-C cable type, the SD card doesn't have a high limit. and you are able to send over bluetooth to another device.
