Outstanding upgrade – picture quality is great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded to the LG C5 55” from a Philips Ambilight TV and couldn’t be happier with the decision. The picture quality is genuinely stunning — blacks are inky deep, colours are vibrant without being over-saturated, and HDR content looks incredible. Whether it’s films, sport, or gaming, everything looks noticeably sharper and more lifelike. The brightness is excellent for an OLED and holds up well even in a bright room. Motion handling is smooth, and the upscaling of HD content is far better than I expected. Gaming performance is also top-tier with low input lag and flawless support for next-gen consoles. webOS is fast, intuitive, and far more responsive than the smart system on my previous TV. Apps load quickly and the interface is clean and easy to navigate. The design itself is sleek and premium, with incredibly thin bezels that really let the picture take centre stage. I was a bit unsure about losing Ambilight, but the sheer quality of the display more than makes up for it. This TV feels like a proper step into the high-end OLED experience. Highly recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 3rd LG OLED (B6, G4 and now the C5), and they remain awesome. Fantastic all round picture and a great OS. The remote is a bit naff and sound not the best but a soundbar quickly sorted that. Highly recommend

The LG 55 Inch OLED55C55LA Smart 4K UHD HDR OLED TV runs on LG's webOS platform, which does not support the Google Play Store. Instead, it uses the LG Content Store to download and install apps.
You can install apps from the LG Content Store, which includes popular apps like Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, and more
You cannot directly install Android apps (APK files) or access the Google Play Store unless you use external devices like:

Android TV box
These devices plug into your TV via HDMI and give you access to the Play Store and Android apps.
