After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Rectangular Patterned Glass Work Top Saver: ''Hot pans taken straight from the oven or hob should not be placed on the glass worktop saver.''

Could it also be confirmed whether this board is actually heat resistant ??

It is heat resistant so yes you can put hot pans on it.
