Good buy
Bought a few weeks ago. Very impressed. Much better than my previous iron
Kate
I like it, it's very nice.
Iron is great, glides across my son's school uniform with all the settings. Took me over an hour to do with my old iron bit takes me 45 mins now. Doesn't leak (yet) hasn't burnt my silk fabric clothes (yet) and heats up fast also turned itself off when I had a knock on the door came up to it self cooling. Slightly heavy after long use but the wire is really long so you can sit down and it's got space to still iron with the long wire range. I like the steam setting too gets creased shirts sorted fast.

Brilliant iron, nice weight and good steam for dry garments

Great!!
This is a fab iron. I love the quick heat up and it glides over every type of material. I would say it's the best iron I've had, and I've had a lot of irons. It is on the heavier side and because it is wider it doesn't sit on the iron rest of my ironing board.

Good decision
Bought to replace a Tefal iron that we'd persevered with for a while - wish we'd replaced it sooner! This Breville iron is larger with a bigger water tank that's easier to fill. Our ironing is now easier to do.

Paracetamol tablets- rub side of tablet onto hot soleplate. The marks lift away really easily
Hi there!
To clean black marks from the soleplate of your Breville VIN401-01 iron, make sure the iron is unplugged and completely cool. Mix a small amount of baking soda with water to form a paste, then gently apply it onto the marks using a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid using anything abrasive, as this can damage the non-stick coating. Once clean, wipe off any residue with a damp cloth and dry the soleplate thoroughly. For lighter marks, slightly warm the iron and rub it over a damp cotton cloth sprinkled with salt. Never use harsh cleaners or sharp tools, as these can permanently damage the soleplate.

Hi,
There has been a change in the design. In the newer version, the holes closer to the bottom part of the soleplate have not been fully stamped on, there is no steam chamber behind it so it has the same performance when it comes to the steam function.
Hello Julie,
According to Ironsexpert UK, the cord length of the Breville VIN401 DiamondXpress Steam Iron is 3 meters. However, if you have measured the cord length and found it to be 2.5 meters, then it is possible that the product you received has a shorter cord than advertised. In this case, I would recommend contacting Customer Services - 0345 640 2020 alternately social media or live chat will help and advise you.

If it’s coming from the sole plate and it’s excessive there is a fault on the iron I would stop using and return it
I found it did too, if I filled it to the maximum. Try only filling half way. Very happy with mine, irons well.
If possible return to store as mine does not leak water at all.
I been to store for faulty return.
Store refused they dont accept faulty return. Told me to call Beldray customer service.
Bought 4 monts ago.
Be careful buying from argos next time.

Hi Glenny,
Thanks for getting in touch.
The cord storage on the Breville VIN401 DiamondXpress Steam Iron is flared sections on the upper body of the iron around which you wrap the cord.
It just wraps around the bottom of the iron
The white part at the bottom of the iron flares out slightly - see pic of iron. Can wrap cord around iron but no clip to hold cord in place.
Hi
No storage for the cord & it a very long cord.Great for ironing but not so easy to fold away.
I wrap it around the base just below the handle. It wraps round front to back with exactly the right amount of space. The plug then tucks onto the cord & the iron can be stored upright.
