Surprisingly good paint
I normally use a more expensive paint but decided to give this cheaper paint a try. To be honest I was surprised on how good this was. It was quite thick so there were minimal drips when applying to the wall. Colour is very close to the picture on the tin. Overall I'm glad I tried this and would use Johnstone's again in the future. I have given it 4 stars as I can't comment on the durability as I have only just painted the wall. It is supposed to last 15 years but even if it doesn't I have plenty left to give it another coat. When you compare the price to Dulux or Sandtex you get a lot more for you money and I can't really see any difference.

Price shot up by £11 after needing another tin.
Took 2 coats before looking OK. Good value at £18.48 but needed another tin and the price had gone up by a whopping £11 Not a happy bunny.

Excellent Paint
I bought this paint to recover 3 walls that had not been painted for 3 years. I had never used Johnstone's paint before but will certainly use it again. I bought red brick colour attempting to match it with my red cedar shed and fences. The paint went on lovely and went a long way, leaving me with half a tin left. The colour matched the fence and shed perfectly. I would recommend this paint to anyone and the plus point was that it was on offer at Argos. Service at Argos was excellent, ordered on line and could collect same day

Yes the paint can be thinned as stated on the tins.
I would suggest 1 part water 9 parts paint (10%)

No, it won't as masonry paint on its own will not act as a fungicide wash and kill any growth. We would advise seeking a product to kill and remove the growth first.
