The Chalky Furniture Paint can be used without the wax or the lacquer but for high use items we would recommend it to be used to protect and seal the paint surface. Without the wax or lacquer, the paint is likely to pick up marks and stains. If the sideboard is more of a decorative piece of furniture which doesn’t get a lot of use, then the Chalky Paint wouldn’t necessarily need to be sealed with wax.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised: yes the Flint Chalky Furniture Paint would be suitable for a wooden table. To protect the painted surface the Furniture Lacquer would need to be used -

The lacquer seals and protects the paint. As with most painted surfaces, place mats and coasters would need to be used.

Yes it is fine. It has no smell. You will need to seal it with the wax after to protect it

Chalk Paint adheres very well to marble, stone, wood and brick fireplaces with no undercoat required. It can also be used on radiators! Make sure the radiator or fireplace is cold before you start painting in order to prevent the paint from cracking.

The paint can be used directly onto wood (bare or painted), brick, stone, plaster or any suitably primed rigid surface (metal, plastic etc). You absolutely must prime your laminate surface with a primer designed to adhere to glossy surfaces.

I used on pine without prep and it covered in one coat. I would suspect you’d need to sand laminate to provide a key but I’d check manufacturers advice on this.
