About this product
The Habitat Akio Small Double Wooden Platform Bed Frame gives you a simple, clean place to rest that suits compact bedrooms. It's a small double that holds your mattress securely on wooden slats, all encased in an outer frame that keeps the look neat and uncluttered. The pine wood provides solid support night after night, while the walnut finish shows off the natural grain. There's 14cm space underneath, so you can hoover beneath without shifting furniture around. The low-profile design with a 25cm siderail height makes getting in and out easy.
The wooden slats spread weight evenly across the mattress base, keeping everything stable and supported. The frame's built to hold up to 220kg in total, so it'll handle everyday use without worry. Self-assembly's required, and you'll want a second person to help with putting it together. Wall-mounting brackets aren't included, but the platform design keeps it low and stable. Comes with a one-year manufacturer's guarantee. Clear instructions and all fixings are provided to get you set up.

Customers Say
Stylish, sturdy, and comfortable bed with a low profile and good value. Assembly is often difficult, time-consuming, and plagued by misaligned holes, missing parts, and poor instructions.

nice bed but terrible assembly instructions.
The finished bed is lovely to look at and, along with the mattress bought at the same time, is very comfortable. The problem was, Unfortunately, with the actual assembling which took many hours with poor instructions and pieces that often didn't quite match. This was annoying ... however, the finished item does appear to have been worth the effort (just).

A nightmare to assemble
We did not estimate 6 hours to assemble this bed and the numerous adaptations we had to make to assemble this bed. Dowels were misaligned, parts did not locate properly, nuts were impossible to access and it was genraly poorly designed for self-assembly. The finished bed was OK for the price.

Chic Sleep
Great bed, looks amazing quality. Very chic and mid century modern. The headboard is hard to screw on and it’s not the easiest to assemble but it’s worth it.

Ideal bed frame
In general the bed frame it self after constructed is amazing sturdy and visually appealing for a room, how ever building it was a bit tricky as some of the bolt holes were not aligned properly making some parts rather frustrating how ever I believe I just unlucky with mine

Looks nice could be better
This bed looks aesthetically really nice however the bed was difficult to construct as some of the drill holes were not aligned and therefore we felt it unstable . Unfortunately the bed headboard was very defected luckily it was on the back not the front as we would have had to return it

Disappointing quality and construction
Hoped the previous reviews were wrong but no, genuinely this bed was awful to assemble. Tolerances are much too large in specific areas. Also, we were missing a dowel and a screw hole which we had to drill ourselves and even then it was pretty rubbish. The inner frame support plank was too long and we had to cut it to size. Since building it its been completely fine, no issues with that which is why its got 2 stars instead of the one.

Great product
I brought this a month ago and i'm happy i did. Is study and nice. And was on offer. The downside is that is a bit down but with a 30cm deep matress matches well.
