worst quick start guide ever seen
I almost threw the battery away, as it was packed separately, just like the packing, in a wrapping with no marking. the quick start guide does not tell you the battery is removeable (!) Basic! the quick start guide does not tell you the SIMS and SD card fit underneath the battery the quick start guide does not identify which slot is which the quick start picture has NO legend for any feature except "power", "OK" and "Headphone" the quick start guide gives no indication as to how the whole of the back is removed to access the battery and card slots. the quick start guide does not give any indication of what buttons do what, or the menu tree, or what a working display might look like. the quick start guide gives no indication of what size the SIM must be. yet that is one hugely important detail the quick start guide does not tell you that the phone loses its date and time when the battery is removed to insert new sims (What- no non volatile memory? archaic or what?) The Argos description does not tell you that this 2G is also being phased out and this phone cannot use 4G or 5G (3G is already gone in the UK in most places) The quick start guide should tell you to "remove the back, by unclipping the rear cover, Fit the SIM(s) and SD Memory, fit the battery pack, re-fit the cover and charge for at least 2 hours. Once there is sufficient charge, set up the time and date." I have no objection to going online to find a user manual, but the supplied "quick start guide" simply does not "quickly" or "guide" anything or anyone. Bearing in mind this is the first thing a user tries to use and it clouds everything else.. The only thing it does quickly, is annoy the purchaser ):

Yes, the TCL Onetouch 5023 mobile phone does support speed dial functionality. To set it up, follow these steps:
1. Go to Menu.
2. Select Settings.
3. Navigate to Call settings.
4. Choose Speed dial.
5. Set the Status to On.
6. Select Set numbers > Edit.
7. Choose the contact you want to assign.
8. Press OK.
9. To use speed dial, long press the key you assigned to the contact, and the phone will dial them directly.
