Bad delivery service and colour different to image

I bought this sofa a month ago in the sale. I chose this sofa bed specifically for the jay-b mattress, the colour appeared black in the image which suited my colour scheme, and the fact that it was assembled on delivery. Be aware that this is delivered by a 3rd party company, which appeared very professional in terms of regular email updates with quick delivery dates and time slots etc. A courtesy phone call was made to inform that they were running late etc which wasn't an issue at all. However, the team who turned up was a man who, whilst very pleasant, had a bad back and couldn't lift properly as a result, and a 15 year old boy. They had only been with the company a week and made it very clear that they hadn't built one of the beds before, but they would give it a go. We declined and thought best that we built it ourselves. They did remove all cardboard and rubbish before they left. Upon opening the box we discovered that the sofa was not black at all, as represented in the image, but more of a petrol blue/ink blue type of colouring. Whilst I'm aware that velvet isn't matt and that there would be another colouring to it, from the image and name being charcoal I expected it to be more of a dark grey if anything, but this is definitely more blue/purple than black/ grey. We've made it work as I wasn't in a position to return it. The sofa bed itself turned out really easy and manageable to put together. It is also very easy to use. It pulls out and puts away in one very easy motion, no need to take sofa cushions off etc. The mattress is very comfortable, it's like sleeping on a normal bed and provides a lovely night's sleep. I really wanted this sofa bed for this reason as it's used very regularly and this was the thickest mattress option that I could find anywhere. As with all Chesterfields, the sofa itself is very firm to sit on, but I'm finding it quite comfortable still. It looks very elegant and has a timeless quality to it. Other than the colour not being exactly what I originally wanted, I am very happy with this purchase (although happier still that I didn't pay full price!) My fault partly for not getting a colour sample first but didn't want to miss the offer at the time. If wanting a true black sofa bed then this probably isn't the option for you, but in terms of style, comfort and ease of use, I would definitely recommend as a great option, just maybe choose one of the other colours available and definitely get a fabric sample beforehand just in case!
