The LG GBV5240CEP fridge freezer is kitted with LG's bespoke NatureFRESH technology, ensuring freshness is maintained for longer. LG's DoorCooling+ ensures that cold air spreads more evenly as Linear Cooling technology reduces temperature fluctuation. With a premium usable interior including Wine Rack and FRESHConverter drawer to adjust temperature for your storage needs, and MetalFRESH provides a premium interior. The Smart Inverter Compressor keeps the noise to a minimum, great for open living, and is backed by a 10 year warranty.
Steady, even temperatures are key to freshness. Thanks to LG's NatureFRESH technology, it limits temperature fluctuation and provide even cold air throughout the fridge to keep food fresher for longer. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely outstanding appliance. We have been looking for a new fridge for a long time as ours has seen better days. The LG fridge freezer design is sleek and modern looking. As soon as you open the door you are presented with a gorgeous bright light, the shelving is deep and holds enough room for all your items. We have gone from not having enough room to having ample. The built in bottle holder is a huge advantage to stop all the build upon the door. We love the drawer at the bottom which makes use of all the space under the door storage and has a clear indicator for meat and fish. We particularly love the crisper section for fruit and veg, its meant food stays fresher for much much longer. I was concerned about loosing a drawer in the freezer but shouldn't have been, the three drawers are deep and slide in and out with ease, no ice build up and being able to control the freezer and fridge temperature separately has been amazing. I would highly recommend this appliance and am looking forward to purchasing more LG items in the future

Amazing Fridge!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m really impressed with my new tall LG fridge. Was initially cautious about having such a large dark appliance in my small kitchen however it has a stylish metallic finish which means it does not darken the room at all. The freezer looks small in comparison to my previous model however space is utilised really well and it actually fits more which was a pleasant surprise. The build quality is excellent, and the fridge has a variety of well-designed compartments which means organising is a dream. Freezer drawers slide out smoothly which is an added bonus. The standout feature for me is the DoorCooling+ and NatureFRESH technology, which has not only kept food fresher but also drastically reduced our daily electricity usage which is a nice bonus.

A wonderful tall fridge freezer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would never have normally considered an LG fridge freezer, I only knew them as a TV maker. I'm so glad I gave them a try, i have been impressed. The best feature by far is how tall the fridge freezer is. The extra height gives you so much more space in the fridge and where ive been constrained by width in my kitchen ive now solved our household issue. My only gripe is the colour, I have stainless steel appliances and the black fridge freezer looks a little out of place. Im also concerned about the Matte finish as this could leave lots of finger prints but time will tell. I would recommend it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Incredible fridge freezer. First and foremost, tons of space- granted it’s almost 7ft tall overall, still the amount of space inside is incredible. This makes storage impressively efficient and convenient. You can quickly put away a couple weeks worth of shopping- the quick chill function helps to maintain the right temperature with lots of produce being added to the shelves. It was difficult to believe at first, however having tried it, I can confirm that the FreshConverter multifunction shelf works a treat! It did extend the shelf life of the produce, whether it was meat, fish or vegetables. The dedicated fruit and veg compartment also supported keeping the food fresh and edible for longer. Overall, I believe we have managed to reduce our food waste by over 10% since purchasing the fridge. The freezer compartment is spacious, and works fast to deep freeze the food within. All things considered, I am full of amazement at how good this fridge has been. A well worth it purchase, and thoroughly recommended!

Thrilled with our new fridge

The shelves and drawers are sturdy and the drawers roll out with ease. It is robust and attractive. The storage space is great and the freezer doesn't produce frost. We are thrilled to bits with this after having a really awful fridge prior to it. Would 100% recommend and would buy other LG products in future off the back of this purchase. I also really liked that we could recycle our previous fridge at the same time as this made things much easier.

The LG GBV5240CEP Freestanding Fridge Freezer - Black has a standard two year warranty with LG however, there is a promotion currently running to 31/10/2025 in which this can be extended to 5 years. To qualify, you must register the warranty within 90 days with LG otherwise its not valid.

Generally, for these types of bottom-freezer models, the fridge door needs to open to at least 90 degrees or slightly more to provide enough clearance for the freezer drawers to open fully. However we would always recommend opening it at least 120 degrees to avoid the draws scraping.
