About this product
An ottoman bed that helps you stay organised by tucking bedding and seasonal items out of sight underneath. This Aspire Grant Single Adjustable Bed uses smooth gas lift pistons to open the storage area without hands, so there's no awkward lifting when your mattress is in place. The freestanding winged headboard adds structure and sits neatly without needing to be fixed to a wall. A soft plush velvet finish gives the bed a comfortable look that fits into different bedroom styles. Hand upholstered in the UK with deep padding for a soft touch.
The storage area is large enough for spare bedding, pillows or clothes, and comes with a fabric dust protection sheet to keep items fresh. Gas lift pistons support mattresses weighing up to 60kg, so access stays simple even with heavier mattresses. Sprung slats provide even support and help your mattress breathe. The side rail height makes it comfortable to get in and out of bed. Wooden feet keep it stable, and there's space underneath for easy floor cleaning. Assembly is straightforward with two people, and a one year guarantee is included.

Dreadful from order placement to end user experience

Not exactly as described and some issues
Positives: Solid bed frame and adjustable metal bed frame is easy to operate. Reasonably easy to construct both the bed frame and the metal adjustable frame. Negatives: The Argos description mentions sprung wooden slats - this is incorrect. This bed is actually in two parts - the bed frame and a metal adjustable bed frame which is simply placed within the bed frame (i.e. it is not attached at any point). The mattress came vacuum packed and rolled with no instructions about how to deal with this. It took many days for it to 'fill out'. Also, when the adjustable bed is raised, the mattress creases significantly (see pictures). Never having owned this type of bed before, I do not know if this is 'normal' but it is not comfortable. The bed frame was missing the 'bolt threads' to screw the feet into and the company simply sent these to me and told me to 'hammer' them in myself, which was difficult to do. Also, the instructions that arrived with the bed were not for the adjustable bed. Argos contacted the company who emailed the exact same incorrect instructions. I had to ring them to get the correct ones. Overall, would I order again - the answer is no.

This bed is so comfortable and looks amazing nice feel to the velvet colour is perfect for decor only negative is not so easy to assemble and was supplied with wrong instructions Luckily my husband and son worked it out
