Making gravy has never been easier with the OXO Softworks Fat Separator. Simply place the stopper in the spout and when you pour pan drippings into the fat separator, the strainer will separate unwanted bits and the fat will rise to the top. Remove the stopper and pour, and the flavorful cooking liquid will come out first, allowing you to leave the fat behind. The measurement markings make following recipes simple, and the splatter shield helps prevent splashing while you pour. When you're done, this Separator is dishwasher safe.

What would life be without gravy...
Great for controlling how much oil you want to keep in liquids. Use it for gravy which I would use for every meal during winter if I could get away with it. Great for a broth too, you can separate the oil and use the remainder to free into fabulous broth cubes to freeze. Processed stock cubes etc are just full of salt and chemicals. Not sure how anyone lives without one and essential for gravy fanatics. Due to oil, it is hard to handwash quickly, so get rid of oil and stick it in dishwasher if you have one.

Good for making gravy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Fat Separator does a good job in keeping all the larger bits out of your gravy and helping to remove the extra bit of fat on top. It is easy to put together and clean, but it could be a bit bigger (it just about fits 500ml).
