It is possible to leave the middle shelf out on building, but the gaps are quite large anyway. It also may make the unit not as strong or stable. Good quality though.
My husband didnt moan so I'm guessing it was fine to assemble. Didnt take long either.

The supplier has advised the following for the GFW Lancaster 2 Door TV Unit - Grey:
"Large shelf width – 58cm – the space between each shelf is 19cm – this shelf is not adjustable
Small shelf width – 29.5cm (within the cupboards)
In relation to the game consoles and BT hub, this would depend on the dimensions of the items, and if the consoles are able to be lay flat, however you would need to refer to the instructions of each console to ensure they are able to be used this way."

Never use scourers, abrasives or chemical cleaners.
To clean wipe with a sponge and soapy water. Do not use solvent based cleaners or detergents as they can bleach or damage the product.
