Our replacement spa and hot tub covers use the strongest available materials in the industry and come in 5-3 inch taper, as standard. The 5-3 tapered, 1.5lb density foam cover is unparalleled for heat retention. Designed to withstand the harsh winter months. Includes a 2 year, bumper to bumper, non-prorated warranty. UV/mildew resistant, 30oz marine grade vinyl.
Tapered design for strength at the hinge and water run off. 100% virgin, 1.5lb density, eps styrofoam inserts wrapped in 6mil double coated, heat sealed polyethylene vapour barrier to increase longevity and retain water temperature. Galvanized 'c' channel added at centre of foam inserts for support.

Keep a Lid on It!
I bought the Canadian Spa Hot Tub cover to replace the original cover used at our holiday lodge. As the lodge is rented out during the summer, the cover gets a lot of use and abuse and the replacement cover looks robust and hopefully will provide for lasting use. With electricity costs being at an all time high, keeping as much heat in as possible is essential. The replacement cover will reduce heat loss and I estimate that the cost of energy saved should offset the cost of purchase within two years. The only slightly annoying drawback was that the tie-down straps are located in different positions from the original cover and this necessitated having to drill new holes in the hot tub fascia to locate the tie-down clips (included with the hot tub lid) to align with the position of the straps.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Canadian Spa Company 218 x 218cm Hot Tub Cover - Brown:
Is your spa square with rounded corners, what is the size across the fold of your existing cover?
We only do the 4" radius which is cross compatible with any radius larger with no loss in insulation. The larger radius is just a more swooping corner.
If you measure across the fold of the existing cover or if worried it has become misshapen, measure from the furthest part out, to the furthest part out on the spa itself. As long as the cover is bigger than the spa it will work with no loss of insulation. A cover too small or the same size of the spa will never work as it will sit on the skirting flaps and break the insulation seal.

“ There are 2 versions available for the thunder bay hot tub. 4"/3" Thick Proline Tapered Spa Covers - Square various sizes 200cm - 228cm / 78" to 90" and 5"/3" Thick Tapered Spa Covers - Square 200cm to 233cm / 78" to 92". ”

"The cover comes with both male and female locking clips along with screws to secure. The customer would remove their existing cover clips before fitting."
