About this product

Nighttime peace of mind, simplified. This VTech digital audio monitor keeps you connected to your little one from up to 460m away outdoors. It features a colour screen on the parent unit and 2-way talk, letting you reassure them from another room. The baby unit has a soothing night light and ceiling projection to help create a calming sleep space. Room temperature alerts notify you if it's too warm or cold.
The parent unit has audio and vibration alerts, helping you respond even when you can't hear. It's portable and works on mains or rechargeable battery, giving you flexibility to move around. The baby unit plugs into the mains and includes a comforting night light. DECT signal helps reduce interference. Indoor range reaches up to 75m. Rechargeable batteries included for the parent unit. Mains adaptors included for both units.

Bought about 2 weeks ago & not really used it so reluctant to comment. All I can say is that it was certainly good value. Bought for an adult with disabilities so do not think a video link would be an advantage.

Great monitor
Bought a few months back and it’s working really well for us. We use it for toddler age and being able to talk to them through the monitor is very helpful. Easy to use good features like lights.

Excellent price and good quality
We have had the monitor about 6months and it is working great. It has a features to play lullabies and put a nightlight on. Its very simple to use and is lightweight so we use it a lot when travelling. Also the battery life is great.

Good audio equipment
Long battery life. Daughter loves the projection light. Doesn’t pick up on initial sound for example if daughter coughs, it will pick up the latter part of it.

Basic, a few bad design issues
I bought this after my BT baby monitor stopped working after a power cut and need something i could collect same day. It is very basic but thats all I need however have found that sometimes it seems like its not returning any sound and just goes quiet. Seems to have been resolved once I turned up the sensitivity but dont 100% trust that i will always hear any sound if my toddler wakes in thr night. Also is a quite flawed design where the talk button is next to the power so can quite easily accidentally turn it off. You also can't tell at night if its actually connected as there is a light on but that's just to show its plugged in to the charger. So overall it is ok but I much prefer my old BT one that unfortunately they dont seem to make anymore.

Good product at a good price.
Bought for when our grandchild visits. We didn’t need a video monitor, just wanted to be sure that we would know when they wake up as my hearing is not as good as it used to be. The fact that the receiver also has a visual indicator is therefore a useful feature for me. Having both parts plugged into the mains relieves worries that the battery may go flat.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Vtech DM1212 Digital Audio Baby Monitor: ''All VTech baby units, including audio, video and smart models are mains powered only, this to avoid the risk of the battery running out and you not being aware and thus not able to monitor your baby/child.''

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Vtech DM1212 Digital Audio Monitor with Light & Projection: ''The VTech DM1212 has default temperature alert settings of +24 degrees for the high temperature and +16 degrees for the low temperature, which can both be changed.
The temperature alerts can be turned off.''
