Terrible to build
This is a nice piece of furniture once built however the colour is a lot darker than shown in the pictures and even for a flat pack this was a nightmare to build. Screw holes had not been piloted and the dowel holes were out of line so the drawer runners were not level and drawers did not sit in the unit. Fortunately my hubby is handy with things like that and made the necessary corrections and piloted the screw holes. For the money paid I would have expected a lot better. Would not buy again have bought better off Amazon for cheaper.

Ok for the price
Basically a cheap and cheerful product. Middle shelf not level but no time to investigate now. Will disassemble after New Year and check whether product fault or my assembly error.

Excellent Looking & Sturdy
I am very happy with this TV stand.. I luckily had my two sons to build it for me, it took very little time to do so. I am pleased with its look and it's just the right height to watch my TV. The drawers are useful too. So no complaints!

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Argos Home Amersham 2 Drawer TV Unit - Dark Pine.
MDF is used only for the backs of the furniture and the backs of the drawers; everything else is made of solid pine wood.

Thanks for your query about the Amersham 2 Drawer Solid Wood TV Unit - Dark Pine.
The front of the top is 85cm wide, the sides are both 31cm long, the back is 67cm wide and the two angled parts are 13cm along their faces (they're set into the top by about 9cm in each direction).

The legs are not as solid as they look as the are made up from boards which are 10-12 mm thick so there would not be room to normally attach castors. All that could be done would be to attach them on two sides of each right angle leaving the inner two screws unnattached which could render it unsafe.
It is not something we would recommend and bear in mind that any modifications normally invalidate the Warranty
