About this product
One Coat Shed & Fence can be used on all above ground timber such as fencing, sheds and trelliswork. It has been specially formulated with added wax for increased protection and it provides excellent resistance to extreme weather conditions. It protects wood from the damaging effects of the suns ultra violet rays, and provides long lasting colour that is guaranteed to be fade resistant for 3 years. Product Features: Quick Dry. Covers approx. 54m. Touch dry: 2 hours.

Bargain for huge tub of mess free painting and sup
Bargain outdoor paint to revive my ailing back gate. One coat needed 3 or four coats. Very easy , mess free painting and super quick drying leaving a slightly opaque cover. I guess more coats would intensify the pigment and protection. Not very waxy as described so I am not sure whether this actually penetrates the wood? Probably just provides a surface layer to repel rain. Overall a real bargain and no harsh life in having to add a layer or two more. Equipment and skin easy to clean afterwards too.

Excellent fence paint
Good fence paint with excellent coverage I have used this product many times before and it is excellent value . I would recommend this product to paint your fence or shed as 2 coats will give excellent durability

Very disappointed
Very disappointed. The coverage is terrible – I had to paint my gate four times to get a decent finish. The paint is very thin and kept showing through. I wouldn't recommend it.

long lasting effect
I have used this colour on our wendy/summer house for a number of years and have been impressed with the area covered and the long lasting cedar colour, applied with a large brush.

The supplier has advised the following for the Johnstones One Coat Shed and Fence - Shaded Grey, 9L:
"As a rule of thumb, when stored correctly water-based paints should be fine to store for around 2 years.
The issue we have with giving a solid time frame is that there are so many varying conditions that can contribute to a paints shelf life.
Frost can effectively freeze the paint. Hot weather can cause the paint to separate out and go solid in the tin.
The most common storage places for paints are garden sheds and garages. Both areas are rarely insulated and get cold in winter and hot in summer."

It does state the Johnstones One Coat Shed and Fence - Shaded Grey, 9L, is a grey paint. However it does have wax in it to protect the wood.
