About this product
This ottoman bed gives you a place to sleep and somewhere to store extra bedding, seasonal clothes, or anything else that needs tucking away. It's upholstered in brushed velvet fabric that's soft to the touch and available in nine colours to suit your bedroom. The end-lift design opens from the footboard, giving you hands-free access to a large storage compartment that fits mattresses up to 60kg. A fabric dust protection sheet keeps stored items clean. The hand-upholstered headboard and footboard have deep padding and a vertical design. Solid hardwood feet support the frame.
The storage area is built into the base, with sprung wooden slats that support your mattress and allow airflow. It's manufactured in the UK and arrives ready for two-person assembly with all fixings included. The ottoman mechanism lifts smoothly and holds steady while you access your belongings. The frame is upholstered all over for a neat finish that works in tight spaces. It supports a maximum user weight of 220kg and comes with a manufacturer's one year guarantee.

Purchased this bed through NEXT online arrived earlier than stated as it did say 6/7 weeks but arrived 3/4 weeks, took about 3 hours to build (Super King) so not bad going, the bed is of good quality and the colour and the velvet makes it look beautiful.

I am so disappointed
I an so disappointed with this bed it's already bent the metal underneath the slats have fallen out and even though it's a super king size bed our super king size mattress is about 3 inches to small and it squeaks terribly

Stunning!
I bought the bed in black, but was a little worried it was not a true black, but dark grey as some of photos seemed to suggest on the website. Bed arrived. Fabulous. A true black, with a stunning overall effect. Easy to put together, and seems of very good quality. I would say use your own tools. I used large and small Phillips screwdriver, and 13mm & 14mm spanners.

With a floor to underside of bed clearance of 3cm, this reduces the height to top of the siderail on the LLB Estella Velvet Double Ottoman Bedframe - Pearl to 31.5cm. The storage area is protected with a fabric sheet so should not affect this too much.
