About this product
A bed that combines sleeping and storage, ideal for bedrooms needing extra space without losing comfort. The Aspire Grant Velvet Ottoman Bedframe features an end-lift mechanism that smoothly raises to reveal a large storage area beneath, protected by a fabric dust sheet to keep linens, bedding or seasonal clothes clean. It lifts mattresses up to 60kg for easy access. The hand-upholstered headboard has deep padding and a vertical design, comfortable for sitting up reading or using your phone. Solid hardwood feet keep the frame stable and lift it slightly off the floor.
The ottoman holds 1263 litres, enough for spare duvets, pillows or out-of-season clothing. The end-opening design gives full access to the storage space without needing to move bedside tables. The upholstered frame sits on a sturdy base with sprung wooden slats that support your mattress evenly and handle up to 220kg total weight. There's 3cm space underneath for cleaning. Manufactured in the UK as part of the Grant collection. Self-assembly required, two people recommended. All fixings and headboard brackets included. Comes with a manufacturer's one-year guarantee.

Nice bed - complicated build
It’s a nice bed frame and the storage is good but it’s a complicated build and you definitely need two people as it’s heavy and you need to shift it into different places to assemble it. The tools provided are very poor so you’ll need your own spanner and alun key set. Delivery was poor - they wouldn’t bring it into the house - three heavy boxes just left at the door. On the whole I think it’s overpriced. But if it’s the aesthetic you want it’s fit for purpose.

Fab bed, love it!
Very happy with this bed. Husband is a superstar and built it no problems (he is good at this kind of thing so don't know if it was tricky or not). It's a lovely bed, well made and the storage is fab. Lovely navy blue. Very happy with the purchase and it arrived much faster than the expected date.

complicated to put up using a youtube video (no instructions) some holes not drilled into the frame so we had to do it, was a nice bed when it was assembled

Very pleased- really well made , looks great. If it's storage your after this is the bed for you. Have your own 14mm spanner and large Phillips screwdriver as the ones provided are rubbish.

Great bed but it’s not navy!
I love this bed but I wouldn’t have chosen it if the correct colour had been stated. We bought navy curtains so wanted a matching bed. The bed looks navy when you see it inside the wrapping but once you open it the colour is like peacock blue. It’s still a gorgeous colour but it doesn’t go with our room. We had to keep it though as we needed the bed quickly and thought of Argos because they are quick but unfortunately we had to wait 2 weeks for it to be delivered.

Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied
I am thoroughly dissatisfied with the bed frame I purchased. The size discrepancy is unacceptable. I expected it to be 150 cm to accommodate my king-size mattress, but what I received was 155 cm by 205 cm, significantly larger than my mattress. Despite numerous calls and emails to the company, they insisted that this discrepancy was normal. Despite the hardship of assembling it, I had no choice but to return the bed frame. My overall experience with both the purchase and the company's handling of the situation left me feeling extremely disappointed and dissatisfied.

Ottoman bed
Lovely looking bed but the fabric base cover was too small, the slats don’t go to the end of the bed! I bought a new double Emma mattress also is too small for the base. Such a shame as I was expecting so much more.

The gap beneath the bed is 4.5 cm, which corresponds to the total height of the feet.
Please note that the underside of the bed is made of fabric, so placing items in this gap is not recommended as it could potentially damage the material.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Aspire Grant Velvet Kingsize Ottoman Bedframe - Navy:
No, the mattress would stay placed, the slat frame goes into the upholstered frame slightly preventing it from slipping off the bed. King size mattresses are usually fairly heavy and would take considerable strength to move.
Any UK standard King sized mattress which usually measures W150, L200 would be suitable.
